If you like clusters then you're gonna love this. 2 more bars full of stuff aren't shown during combat. I've since made Grid quite a bit smaller so it's less intrusive.

About as busy as it gets. Only thing I don't like is the position of my range finder thing. I always just throw it to one side whenever it pops up. Keep meaning to switch to Vuhdo, but muhhhh, configuring raid frames correctly takes too damn long.

Entirely put together of mods I like by myself. Could never get on with UI packs.

That combat text, my god. You don't need both popup default UI damage and floating combat text together, pick one or the other. You also need to turn off display of spell names in MSBT and just show icons, and turn off textual overkill notifications (mine just displays overkills as an adjacent red number). Make the font half the size. That floating garbage eats up 15% of your screen real estate.

You also don't need a pet healthbar in the middle of your screen. Pet health is one of the lowest concerns you have outside PVP as it just about never dies.

Skada should be smaller and stuffed in a corner. A good UI has two things to it: Lots of empty space so you can see what's going on around you, and things you need to know about being near the middle of your screen with things you don't need to concern yourself with off to the sides (or hidden). Damage meters, chat frames, minimap, objectives frame etc, should always be along the outer edges, with your / target health higher up so you can see your / enemy health without having to shift your eyes all over the place.

remove the blizzard combat text above the targets they hit and remove the name of the spell and amount overkill from MSBT and you will have A LOT less clutter but still see your damage output w/ the icon from the spell.

And I say Good Night sir. LOL That is clustered but, i play on a `1600 x 900. Not like everyone else really in the wow world who play ona 1900x1080. So you have a lot more room to work with. I know you can scale down your ui but, I like to see my buttons so that is why mine is really simple.

Me and u run almost run the same UI. I suggest making your Skada smaller so oyu have more room to move your Unit frames away from each other is what I would do. Then the MIki Scroll text lightin it up a bit. Go into the settings for it and turn some of the stuff u dont need off or make where it is instead of 645000 it just say 645k. Makes the battle text not take up so much space. Its up to you on how you want to have your TMW and MagebombTracker. I use Weak aura to track all my stuff so.

On the subject of UI's, can anyone explain the benefit of displaying combat numbers is? Scrolling battle text, enemy damage taken combat text, normal damage numbers showing, whta is the point?

I see it as bloat and nothing more. Completely and utterly useless as far as pertinent information goes for a raid member/raid leader. What exactly is you seeing a 350k crit in real time going to do (or a 350k crit heal, etc etc).

The only instance that even SORT of makes sense is tanks to see damage taken, but by the time it happens, it is too late to do anything about it, so WHY display it? If you want to know what damage you took or what damage you did, just check Skada/Recount AFTER the encounter.

I, myself, do not display ANY numbers on my screen whatsoever (besides Skada healing/damage meters in bottom right because I am RL). Literally none and I love the screen real estate it provides me.

    Thoughts?

EDIT (adding my UI screens in and out of combat):

@Dusteyy it's probably because big crits get people all hot and bothered. I know that's why I show combat text. Nothing gets me all giddy like seeing a 1 mil+ number fly across my screen, it's a good feeling and helps break the monotony of standing there pressing the same 4 buttons for 5 hours a night.

It is essentially useless bloat but people enjoy it. I've tried playing without and it just feels different since I am so used to it.

What goes on above a bosses head that is so pertinent that you must have that space free of everything?

A couple things are wrong with this statement:

    1) Unless you are talking about a boss like Immerseus, the numbers "above" their head will still be very much in the middle of your screen taking up real estate.
    2) There are very few single target fights and on fights like Immerseus (for consistency's sake) when adds come out during AoE you can literally see nothing because of the bloat. Also, on fights like Protectors, the 3 bosses are in 3 different locations pretty often which causes the numbers to take up even that much more real estate.
    3) You seem to think having my screen "free of everything" is a bad thing. I wholeheartedly disagree. Having nothing (pertaining to UI) in an area allows me to see actual mechanics of the fight and as a RL that is invaluable. Being able to call out locations of rifts, poisons, pools, soaks, kites, lines, marks, adds, aggro, etc etc is absolutely essential. The more "free of everything" I can have, the better.
