I just think people who mindlessly attacks other players for no reason are a bit of slow in the head or tries to compensate for something.
I play on pve server, i consider pvp in wow a minigame and i consider world pvp even less, whats the point on doing it? It doesn't effect the story, it doesn't effect the one you kill, it's doesn't effect your character.
The only pvp that i consider worth doing is the eve online kind of pvp where you inflict a real "monetary" damage to your opponent, where you can gain territories, where there is a real gain and loss in doing it and winning.
How about we let the parenting of kids to... their parents? No, seriously, World of Warcraft is a videogame. Gaming it's supposed to be a fun activity (if you have that fun through challenges, social interactions, etc is completely up to you). Not some kind of "School of Hard Knocks about the Real World".
ye well i hardly ever do any pvp anymore but i used to gank a lot. like many people here i would never attack a lowbie (unless i was lowbie myself), because that's just not fun for me. even when i was invading crossroads i wouldn't kill flagged lowbies unless they cc'ed me when max levels came. now with that said, everything else was fair game: you fight a mob? tough luck. drinking/eating? shit happens.
you rolled on pvp server you're basically carrying a sign 'please gank me' as far as i'm concerned.

I'm still convinced that whoever came up with the idea of cross-realms must be genuinely challenged.
Griefing isn't pvp. It used to be in Vanilla, when there were only 3 BGs and long queues. But now you have arenas etc, so there is no point to "world pvp".
I think it's weird that folks in PvP gear are the easiest ones to kill.
sometimes its funny when you gank some group or help ganked players of your faction.
over 3+vs3+ world pvp is rly cool
It's the reason I play Warcraft. It's a world of brutality and vengeance. The little guy that gets ganked will grow into a vengeful, spiteful PVPer, and the cycle continues.
As it should.
World pvp has always been reserved for jerks and those who are trying to become even bigger jerks. I've ganked someone once in my wow life, and that was in january 2005. That poor tauren shaman never saw me coming. I just don't see wtf is the point of some lvl90 going around killing lowbies, unless they are trying to recover from some real life trauma. Even if the ganker isn't higher level (they usually are), the ganker always has an unfair advantage.
And I play this game for arenas. World pvp is for d-bags unless you are raiding a main city.
I loved world PvP, I think that was my fondest memory of WoW. But in my opinion, Blizzard created a divide between PvP and PvE that is now too large. Most players are one or the other, so in world PvP, regardless of your gear, you're facing somebody that's not good at PvP, or is very competitive and geared specifically for it.
Plus, there's just no benefit to world PvP anymore. With queues netting you 200x the honor gain, and conquest points being exclusive to them.
And then there's the inflation of skills in WoW, mainly CC.
Just me though. Think I've been softened by several years of PvE so my opinion may not be worth much.

P.S: One of the first ever WoW trailers (way back from beta) featured players fighting in Westfall and Goldshire in...you guessed it...world PVP. Congratulations on calling the original core WoW playerbase and WoW developers douche bags.
Ganking/WPvP/whateveryouwannacallit, is the part of the game I hate the most. (Except gnomes.)
I avoid it as much as possible but if someone attacks me I tend to fight back.
The only expection is gnomes. I always kill gnomes.
As long as its not ganking lowbies or gang banging I am in for it.
PvE is a minigame // Rerolled from affly to spriest after 8 years, thx pandaland changes
Its an MMORPG not a war simulator
Wanna be antisocial and a jerk? Go play an online FPS
attack other players for no reason and kills lowbie questgivers hours on hours on end with their /spit /rude emotes macroed to every ability.
PvP =/= Being a oxymoron douchebag to every player around you "just because".
If thats the behaviour you endorse, then I think as the poster above me you're better off with CoD or similar.

World PvP quickly became a joke when PvE gear greatly eclipsed PvP gear for World PvP. Factor in the buffs from the timeless isle and any PvP geared player will be shit on by any 540+ PvE scrub. On my PvP geared ILvL 509 Resto Druid I was blown up by a 560 ILvL back-peddling Huntard with the island buffs in 5 seconds. That makes sense.
