The best part, the south would build it to keep the socialists out. And the signs that warn people that it's electrified would be facing the wrong way.

A New Dixie would hardly be the first nation that tries to dump its undesirables on its neighbors. Which, unfortunately, further highlights the pointlessness of possible secession. Until our economy collapses significantly enough, there will simply not be enough public will to elect a new Roosevelt. A new New Deal.

The best part is when they ask people to build it for .50 cents an hour, and nobody wants to do it for that price - so they have to hire some illegal immigrants to build it for them.

Now THAT is what I would call pure poetry! ^_^

Nah... They'll just go back to using prison labor. Which will, completely coincidentally of course, come from prisons packed with illegal immigrants.

And sorts they don't want voting, naturally.

There's so much land in the US every state is rural if you ignore the population centers.

Yeah but the Twin Cities metro area is pretty big area-wise, it goes all the way to WI pretty much. In addition to Rochester, there's Mankato, St. Cloud, Brainerd, Duluth, and Bemidji.

I just never thought of it as rural, although I guess I have never been to the East Coast for comparison.

Even the capital of NY, Albany is considered a mini city by those of us on the islands. I assume those cities are similar to Albany in some way.

You said that the shut down was to delay Obamacare from passing, which is quite funny considering all the vitriol you spew about it. I've found that most of the people who hate Obamacare don't really know that much about it.

In roughly the same land area in the Northeast, you have DC, Philly, Baltimore, NYC, Boston, and many other cities. So, by comparison, MN is very rural.

Minnesota is really a half and half state:

To give you an idea of population density... you basically have 5 districts that are twins cities and burbs. And 3 that are everyone else. By person, it's more urban/suburban than it is rural. South of St. Cloud is fairly urban, north (and west) of St. Cloud is fairly sparsely populated in general with the exception of duluth+it's "burbs" @100k.

Alan Moore would probably tell you to read the Steve Ditko work at charlton comics. The Question is a character Alan Moore has revisited several times. Including the anonymous mascot and Rochard in Watchmen.
