Diablo 3: ROS on PS4

Finding it odd that ROS would be playable at Blizzcon on PS4.

Do you think that they will put it ps4 with the expansion so it reaches a fare price? I cant imagine people will spend £59 on just Diablo 3 for PS4 just because it has a touch pad.

Yes i bought it on PS3 also (i love it) and hardly touch PC anymore.

I wont pay £59 just to get the same game as PS3 though as I still have my PS3 game and the wonderful loot goings on. The fact ROS exists on ps4 when they are doing PC first before touching the console says a lot if you ask me. All speculation of course but i think the best direction to go for ROS is to release it as the full game on PS4 rather than some massive DLC for ps3.

Logically, it would make sense bundle D3+ROS as one competitively priced package for the PS4, since that's going to be the best way to encourage people to buy it when they already own it on PC/PS3.. but no confirmation or anything official.

Looking at the front page it looks like ROS will come on PS4 rather than just Diablo 3. Don't think i will upgrade my PC version now as i really enjoy playing with a controller.

The controller and 65 inch HDTV is hard to beat.

I am also debating weather or not to just go PS4 all the way or upgrade my PC copy I currently have. I'm leaning towards the PS4 over PC. Playing on a couch is very comfortable plus the graphics are so cool on a huge HDTV.

You know that you can connect tv and joystick to PC don't you?
65" is pretty tiny. Try playing on a nice hd projector on 5m screen

Your dilemma is very simple. Do you want to play mmorpgs? Then upgrade PC. Do you want to be able to play the game and chat in skype/icq/social networks or browse internet or watch movies in the same time? Then upgrade PC.

As of d3 I can't imagine myself playing it without battle.net, so consoles are not an option. Item trading, ladders, ladder-only bosses and items, cheat-free environment - all this makes PC version one and the only option.

^^I get what you are saying. I am aware of all the options of a PC however I do not have my CPU set up in my living room. Just my office.

Also I do not have any friends in real life that game on PC's.

I can always get both versions of the game, But the PS4 is very tempting.

The controller set up I tried out on the PS3 Diablo 3 demo was not anything I expected. It was fun. I liked it. So far though my 65 inch HDTV, is the sweet spot. I would like to get an 80 inch but the picture quality isn't there yet.

I possibly might look into Projectors. Any suggestions would be awesome.

The god damn cheating in the console version is the biggest dislike - and it is quite "funny", when you think about many uses this "you cannot cheat on a console" when they talk pc vs. consoles.

The cheating thing really sucks.

But PC's always online, and the lag hell when you start the game is really annoying too.

And also that the PC version is a beta test of the console version.

WTf ? It's the exact opposite actually... Console version test loot 1.5 to be polished and then PC will have loot 2.0

It was solid. Diablo 3 is a game that works spectacularly well on consoles. That said, I think Blizzard has made a major miscalculation by making it a PS4 exclusive. Blizzard simply doesn't have much experience in the console market, and they should have realized by now that they're limiting their market too much by not having it available on both major competitors, and possibly even both generations of consoles (as in both PS3 and 4, and Both the 360 and One systems).

All that said, I'll be playing it on PC, if not for the fact that I enjoy being connected to the net at large while gaming, than absolutely for the fact that PC is the only place where I'll be able to access the ladder system when it's inevitably released.

They clearly stated that they will NEVER do "exclusive". But they are working now on a PS4 version and maybe later a One. They have no contract with SONY.

I'm aware of that, I should have used another word. Right now though, it is for all intents and purposes, exclusive to the PS4 in the console market, and I feel that that is a miscalculation on Blizzard's part, and that they would be wise to work on multiple versions.
