Corpse Bride. *Swoons*
Die Hard 5. It scares the hell out of me to realise humanity produced a fifth one after the tragic fourth. What scares me more is that there will be a sixth.

Wow. Lots of Hocus Pocus. I've never even seen the whole thing, only bits and pieces over the years.
Maybe it's a slightly younger thing? She's in her mid 20s and I'm in my early 30s.
Either way, I'm not telling her the results of this, I'll never hear the end of it.
Rudimentary creatures of blood and flesh. You touch my mind, fumbling in ignorance, incapable of understanding.

Ghostbusters is an obvious classic without just going with a horror movie.
One that hasn't been mentioned and which people tend to not have seen, though, is The Frighteners. It's a very Ghostbusters-esque movie, in that it's horror-type content but played for laughs. I highly recommend it to anyone who didn't catch it the first time around.
For a Halloween themed movie, probably Trick ‘r Treat (2007). I believe it to be the only good Halloween eek movie this century.
