Double check my build please =)

    Hi Everyone,

My brother and I are building a computer for my dad for his b-day in 2 weeks, and I need a little help trying to get this build under $900 USD. I want to keep the case, because I think it is elegant and will fit well in a home office setting. I got it close, but just want a second set of eyes to see where else I can skimp without losing performance. Also, The price on the build below will be a little higher than this because I don't have a Microcenter near me.

    Budget- $1000
    Resolution- 1080P
Games / Settings Desired- Skyrim, Farcry 3, Borderlands 2, ESO when it comes out. All at Ultra settings, stable 60FPS (except ESO, no idea about that one yet)
Any other intensive software or special things you do (Frequent video encoding, 3D modeling, etc)- Nope
    Country- USA
Parts that can be reused- None
Do you need an OS?- No
Do you need peripherals (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc)?- No

Everything looks good, I would however change the 1x8 GB ram to 2x4 GB 1600MHz 1.5V ram like these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...D=3938566&SID=
    8700K (5GHz) - Z370 M5 - Mugen 5 - 16GB Tridentz 3200MHz - GTX 1070Ti Strix - NZXT S340E - Dell 24' 1440p (165Hz)

On the other hand, if the OP is willing to go with 1x8GB to trim a few dollars, Crucial Ballistix Tactical 1x8GB 1600 Mhz C8 1.35V $56.

I’m going through and buying the stuff for this build now. This is the first time I’ve used the Define R4, should I get any extra case fans? It says that it only comes with 2. I’m not planning on overclocking, but it looks like this case is going to struggle with airflow…

ohh, and I'm going with 2x4GB instead of 1x8GB

You will be fine, you can always add some extra fans If temps bother you which they probaly shouldn't with no overclocking.

Pretty much what Toffie said - the Fractal cases are usually decent for airflow, but it's always better to be safe when overclocking.
