Dualwield dk's stat weights. Haste < mastery.

Hello!

I got my 2x 1h weapons today and decided to roll DW (again) and when i go simulationcraft to check the stat weights this happens (picture)

So simulationcraft tells me that haste is better than mastery for me.

Can someone tell me is simulationcraft broken or what's happening here?

Try simming at higher iterations and see if it occurs again. This is what I get simming you at 25k.

You're also over on hit and quite a bit under the expertise cap. You need to hit the expertise cap before you do anything else.

There are multiple versions of SimC, but the most recent is always shown on the site. It looks like the latest version is 540.5, but in the next couple weeks I think they're putting out 540.6.

Haste is worse than mastery due exclusively to AMS soaking which can GCD cap you and thus tank haste's value as a resource generator. Since its value in terms of direct DPS is less than that of mastery, it's worse than mastery.

Along those lines if you don't have EEoG yet that will drop haste even lower,and buff mastery. AMS being on a shorter CD, and PoF being on a shorter CD increase masteries value (W/ 4p that is due to the 4p proc scaling w/ mastery.)

You don't want haste, if the sims say otherwise there's something wrong with them.

Probably a lack of ams soaking in the profile, or you're using unholy blight when you should use plague leech.

Try simming again with higher iterations and with plague leech. PL devalues haste and its a huge upgrade over UB. As much as 5% in some cases. In addition simc 540-5 is out.

25k iterations, Plague Leech, Glyph of Regenerative Magic, Evil Eye of Galakras and I still got Haste (slightly) higher than Mastery (this was after getting 2 new items).

Problem fixed by running SimC again and again with the reforges according to earlier results until the new stat weights no longer required changing enchants/gems/reforges and the priority became Mastery > Crit > Haste as expected.
