Blizzard is doing something with region accounts.

I just logged into my account today, and i saw that in my EU account my US account is linked aswell, I don't know what they are doing but what it looks like they are going to make 1 account for all regions all over the world.

Maybe they are going to connect the regions (maybe excluding Asia, cause it have way to many differences)

My US starter edition and various EU licenses are still listed as separate items but all are listed under my battle.net account (i.e. I can log into and play any from the Blizzard launcher using 1 username and password). It's been this way ever since I created the US starter account (which I only use to post to the unrestricted forums on the US site -- EU doesn't have an API forum for example).

EU and US accounts have always been under the single battle.net account. At least thats how its always been for me since battle net was launched

if you use the battle.net beta client theres a little thingy where you can pick your region so it would make sense

Mine has always been like this. I would love to have one region, or even be able to pay to transfer between the US/EU, even with heavy item/gold restrictions.

This isn't new o.0. Players can have whatever regions of WoW under one battle.net account.

Ive had that ever since battle.net was created. I used to live in europe and play there, now i live in the US.
It's nothing new.
