Tier 16 DPS Charts - Why you need more Warlocks in your raid!

Tier 16's king of all DPS are undoubtedly the Warlocks. If you and your guild find your raid hurting on DPS you should be looking to filling your raid with more Warlocks. Here is a chart with the top DPS across every spec, Warlocks have a huge presence at 60%, while the next highest is Windwalker Monks at 9%.

Comparing last tier for ranged DPS Fire Mages were the kings, and not far behind were Warlocks. This tier there has been a major shift. It wouldn't be fair to say mages are out, as they are still the 2nd top ranged DPS. However they are still behind both Affliction and Destruction Warlocks. Bottoming this tier out in a similar fashion again are Marksmanship Hunters.

And if you thought Warlocks had a dominating presence for all DPS, it's even worse for their specific ranged DPS counterparts.

    Edited from post below:
The presence is the percentage of all the top dps in the world using numbers from DPS Rankings. It takes every fight they have and averages out the DPS. These are factual numbers from roughly 500,000+ parses of data.

Any classes not shown in it is because they are literally too low in comparison with the top classes. It is taking the top 100 to give a nice clean percentage. Because warlocks are at 60% it doesn't mean they will do 60% of your raids dmg, it means that if you took the top 1000 best DPSers in the world for your raid, roughly 600 of them would in fact be Warlocks.

What the hell are these even supposed to be graphs of? Why are there no axes labeled anywhere? What does "presence" mean? Why are there specs in the legend that literally do not appear on these graphs?

Why does this post make no sense whatsoever?

Warlock, real class for real men!

I don't even know what I'm looking at here....

I'm sorry but this is terrible. It appears you went to world of logs took the top 100 and then counted which specs were in it.

Look at your own damn chart for the actual dps. That is some of the best relative balance between specs I've ever seen.

The absolute top returns are usually whichever spec has the most RNG that can go in its favour or the spec that can abuse some sort of help from the rest of the raid to get a top log.

maybe if you are just looking at rankings (which generally by this point offer no real insight because the fights are so well known you can start to try for r1s).
    maybe if you include asia.

But that would be an accurate representation of raid composition. It wouldnt even be close to accurate.

Now if you went to Wowprog, and looked at their data for the top 200 US/EU guilds and what they took on their first recorded kill, then maybe the graph would show some semi-valuable information.

This is just pointless and whoever made it wasted a lot of time for essentially nothing. Whats that? Affliction warlocks dominate ranks on fallen protectors because there are 3 full time bosses to keep dots on so nobody must play any other spec, everybody takes 17 warlocks? No way!

Presumably you have stripped tanks out of those rankings because otherwise Paladins, Warriors and Monks would eat up most of the ranks lol.

It's pretty much a totally meaningless graph.

The point of this seems to be advertising a website. The best thing to do is of course to ignore that badly presented data and not check out his website.

Although I agree, Warlocks are still OP.

Including tanks Warlocks are still at 58% presence. Tanks are just taking out a lot of the other classes. This isn't like last tier with tanks beating everyone.

To make graphs meaningful you need to base them on decent data, not biased WOL crap from a tiny selection of parses. Your graphs are also hard to interpret and too crowded making them look extremely unprofessional.

On top of this, they tell us something everyone and his dog already knows, warlocks OP. Did you need to trawl thru data to be able to state something that obvious?

Why are you so upset? Also it's like 500,000 parses of data...

Probably because this is a giant advertisement for your website under the guise of telling everyone something they already know: that Warlocks are the best DPS. It wouldn't be so silly if your OP made any sense and wasn't ridiculously condescending as if it was new information.
