Most fights in SoO have adds to shadowburn from, boosting dps massively even over single target. Havoc, 4pc tier going off on cooldown, and massive ember generation. Although a lot of the shadowburn damage is overkill and might not be as much as it looks on a meter, just a lot of padding going on

Why do so many still deny that warlocks are the strongest dps by an unreasonable margin this tier, you don't even need to do an in depth analysis to see this yet when somebody does offer real data many just dismiss it out of hand and repeat that idiotic blizzard talking point of 'bring the player not the class'. Locks are just far too out of reasonable bounds even when it comes to the top class

I don't understand, does that graph means that if you can't get more warlocks, you should stack WW monks? Because so far our (back when he was undergeared) was ranking on every fight even when he died, simply because there wasn't even 150 parses with WW. Raidbots does show Destro, well, destroying other dps on 10m hc, but on 25, Arcane is very close, could it be because of all that worthless Shadowburn overkill damage you can do on 10 skewing meters? Also, this graph doesn't take into account normals I hope? Because I still hold nr1 spot on Spoils normal with 14 raid people some from different realm. Normal logs are worthless till they fix flex showing there, else you will have classes with burst dominate them (Archimonde Darkness).
Getting a tangible hand of where things stand is often difficult as our (as in the players) ability to collect sufficient data is limited. Yes warlocks bring a lot to the table and are quite strong. But the exact amount they are ahead by is often the subject of debate with many holding the belief that outside of specific circumstances/fights that the gap is not catastrophically huge.
If you take more Warlocks, they will have to split the gear and wont get the ilvl needed as fast to do this top dmg :P Just let one Lock carry you. haha
Although the graph is dumb, what's even more stupid is I think he's taking n number of top parses from buggy WoL and just adding those numbers up for specs. So specs that are doing well will naturally have most of the top parses because you're adding up the numbers for those specs making a class seem horribly OP. Basically those graphs are bloated to make warlocks look OP.
Warlocks are in a good place, no doubt, but when people don't even understand what he's doing along with how terrible that graph is and doesn't prove anything and shows how a good bunch of people with no brain cells will blindly believe anything they see.
Real problem is not warlock, its all ranged. You can easilly go with a raid full of ranged dps, you can't go with a raid full of melee dps.
Perfect example of why "community" forums are poisonous to the health of a development team. These developers are wasting hundreds of hours trying to stem the tide of incessant bitchery that would never, ever abate so long as these entitled, unfortunate human beings don't get their way.
To shine on every single fight warlocks needs to play at least two out of their 3 specs. If anything Blizzard should try to do this with every class (3 different specs that shine in different situations), while at the same time adding some kind gameplay that requires more than 2 ou 3 buttons to some of said classes/specs.
It does feel like end of BC again. Warlocks with untouchable DPS, indispensable utility, etc.
Can't wait to see 12+ warlocks in mythic modes.
