    Build suggestions..Overkill for Battlefield 4?

So long story short I've decided to not get a PS4/One this time around and instead focus on a new PC. Mainly what I'm after is something capable of running current/upcoming games at max settings. The one thing that has always stopped me from getting a dedicated gaming PC was I liked how convenient the consoles were in the sense of no new constant needed hardware upgrades.

This is what I've put together so far. The absolute most I'd wanna spend now is $3k. If I can find something much cheaper that fits my needs even better.

    CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 3.4GHz Quad-Core
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 65.0 CFM CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus SABERTOOTH Z77 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard
    Memory: Corsair Vengeance LP 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX Titan 6GB Video Card
Sound Card: Asus Xonar DX 24-bit 192 KHz Sound Card
Case: Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced ATX Full Tower Case
Power Supply: Cooler Master Silent Pro M 850W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V
Optical Drive: Asus BW-14D1XT Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer

At about $2700 as it stands with a nice monitor. I will admit I am a newbie to building/upgrading. But I figure this has to be cheaper then having Dell/Alien do it for me. Is it overkill? I mainly want to run BF4 at max with the occassional WoW raid. Thanks in advance folks.

Pretty much the same thing you had going on, but with some swapped parts. Don't get a titan. You can go with either a single 780 and 780ti and you'll be golden. Your budget allows it so I put in 2 MSI Lightnings since they're incredibly cheap right now. These lightnings will be on par with a titan by themselves and will definitely have plenty of overclocking headroom. Went with Windows 8.1 and 2133 ram because BF4 is showing nice increases with both of these. Honestly though a single 780 lightning will be more than enough to play BF4 on ultra settings. Didn't include the sound card as honestly unless you're going to buy an expensive sound card and headset combo the onboard audio does just fine. As for a monitor I would decide if you want to go with a 120hz monitor or a 1440p monitor at this point. At your budget level you should not be using 1080p 60hz anymore. Personally for BF4 I would go with 2x 780 lightnings and a 120hz monitor. Or if you're feeling adventurous look around for a 1440p 120hz IPS such as the Qnix Evolution II.

    Made some changes:
CPU: i5 vs i7. Without heavy duty video rendering or modeling, the i7 is wasted money. The i5 has more than enough juice.
RAM: 8GB vs 16GB. There isn't much you're going to do on a gaming computer to use 16GB of RAM. Also, performance increase from 1600 to 2133 is not worth the increased cost
GPU: A Single monitor set-up for mostly BF4 will be handled just fine by 1 GPU (as Shir already pointed out), but I personally would go with the R9 290x over the 780.
    PSU: 650W vs 850W because 1 GPU

With everything cut in the build, added a badass 27" 1440P 5ms monitor. Enjoy =)

BF4 uses that extra CPU power plus hyperthreading which makes the i7 worth it over the i5. Honestly if I were to build myself a brand new rig I'd be going with a 4930k over a 4770k even, especially while utilizing two GPUs. BF has great performance increase from 1600 to 2133 for very little price increase and honestly 8gb doesn't cut it anymore. I constantly reach over 7gb used while playing BF4 with only battlelog in Chrome open. Also that monitor is completely overkill. You can get a Qnix 1440p 27" for half that.

I'm not familiar with BF4 as you can tell. Is it REALLY that next gen game that everyone's been waiting for that can make use of all of our toys?
