Question Tanks exploting the system? LFR Queue

I was just in Orgrimmar, bored out of my mind waiting for Blizzcon and I saw a tank offering his services for a "quick queue" for LFR. He was asking for 125g to queue with him and then he would leave straight away, is this against any of blizzards rules? I'm not advocating for him to stop, I'm just wondering if what he's doing is okay to do. It does sound like he's trying to profit from exploiting the system.

If he leaves instant you also get kicked out of group. So he is just scaming you. But if he joins for a 1 boss kill then it would work. But...if he dcs on purpose once you are in group i think it works (or not)...not sure for that so i wont say it .
    Don't sweat the details!!!

I've seen them comment on this type of behavior. Often it may remove the people who queued with the tank. I hope he gives refunds!

similar stuff has been done since LFR exists. only that in dragon soul it was mostly healers and tank had long Qs there, but people would always sign up in a high-demand spec to let their buddies bypass the queue and then leave once they were in.
pretty tough for blizzard to prevent really. the only solution is to just not do LFR and let that terrible abomination wither away.

    Yes and no tbh.

to a common sense, yes this would be an exploit.
"not a statement" as for blues haven't said anything regarding to this "no idea if they have or not", people will do this to gain some currency ingame.
When I was playing wow myself, quite a few tanks where doing this on diffrent servers.

    not an exploit.
however blizzard did fix it this expac where often times the person queuing with the tank will also get kicked when the tank leaves. not always though.

Hell, I'd rather get a group of people to pay 125g, kill 1 Boss, then leave and do it again with another group of people, better than getting deserter, and everyone gets what they want. And anyway, I have no problem paying geared tanks/knowledgeable tanks to queue up, ESPECIALLY if they plan on staying the whole time. I'll take a tank that knows what hes doing over a DK from a random Brazilian server that has like half-crafted-pvp gear, a 450 agility weapon, and a ghost iron dragonling trinket with no gems in it and just facepulls without ready checking/counting down/or at least checking to make sure all the raid members are in the same room

    >.<

Theres some behind the scenes counter or tracking to know if a person abuses the system. One character of mine is kicked immediately when someone leaves, and the others it seems to be irrelevant. I noticed it when trying to get my friend the legendary cloak.

@RuneeBh ; Your description about the always undergeared, random pulling brazilian dk is spot on. I had to google translate some basic phrases and stop/start dps surrounded in {skull} in portuguese just so we could get past nazgrim.

I know, it just happens too much to me, thats why as a Tank I can't even play a DPS or Healer, I HAVE to tank (and to to upkeep at least 2-3 of them) because I feel like I have to be in control. I've gotten in groups as dps/healer and gotten great groups with good tanks, but that random guy from Ragnaros every once in a while ruins my entire experience and makes me not wanna do anything but tank ever again.

In my experience of it (being a tank that often queue boosts guildies in LFR) the tank needs to stay 10 minutes OR 1 boss then leave or else it kicks the DPS they queued with.

Only if you leave often. I have many tank alts and I leaved directly once maybe twice a LFR in the past month because of IRL shit incoming and my friends were never kicked.
