    You do realize that they lose profit from doing Blizzcon right? They don't make money from it.

    They've actually said in the past that they do not make a profit off blizzcon - they don't fit *that* many people in the venue, and the setup is massively expensive. Many tournaments and esports venues and producers have in the past said repeatedly that they don't make a profit off conventions or tournaments. Pretty sure all the people who paid to be there are appreciative.

    Also, as the poster above me said, Blizzcon is a drop in profits. They don't need to do this, just a regular press announcement for the new expansion is enough.

    As others have said. They've stated from many years ago they aren't raking in the $ from Blizzcon. More importantly the players are way more excited to have Blizzcon than to not have it.

    Anyone being negative about it is just an insecure person.
