I'd have plenty of dvds and blue rays tpo watch until they invent something new.

But on a more serious note, if I didn't have the internet, which we didn't in our family home until around 2001-2002, I'd not have meet the friends I did, or fallen in love.

I grew up without internet and 5 TV channels (lived close enough to the Austrian border to get their channels too, Kottan Ermittelt was awesome. I'd just go back to read more books, play more pen and paper RPGs and stuff like that.

Nope. I am a rare breed. I don't require facebook and broadband to survive. I go through stints of activity where I am not only a hundred miles or more from the nearest service pole and buried cable, I don't even see -people-, let alone bars on my mobile.

I'd probably end up reading a bunch. And would feel very lonely.

The library would probably become my second home, and I'd take out a loan to open a book store or something (since the most we have here is a cafe/bookstore). At least I know that I'd be able to stay in business in a world without the internet/TV!

Also, brick and mortar movie and game rental shops would become a big thing again.

I think that on a personal/entertainment level I'd be bummed out for a short period since these activities occupy a fair amount of time in my daily life but in the end I doubt there are many that couldn't/wouldn't pick up new ways to pass the time.

Looking at things from a more practical perspective holds unpleasant observations from my point of view; my main problem would stem from the fact that I'm a programmer ( a bad one at that, that relies quite a lot on internet resources ) and my job would suffer GREATLY due to such a "global blackout". This would also invalidate quite a lot of my education and it would be next-to-impossible to find another job in this field, while suddenly starting education in a completely different branch would be a huge inconvenience in the long run.

I'd have to start going into the office every day again, meaning lots more time spent commuting :-( I'd also have to spend a lot more time travelling to see friends & family - currently most live some distance away, so we spend time doing things together online.

They're the major downsides. The rest I've done without before.

My early childhood years was without internet while still having TV from which I did learn stuff from. I have had experience being in the outdoors and can play a variety of non-electronic based games. From a career standpoint I am in the IT field so bam there goes all that. I can work a wrench and screw driver, just dont ask me to be proficient with a hammer. Math I havent had to use in much degree in some time.

Now I might just get to those books I have been neglecting for many years.

Possibly. I'd either have to stare at the walls for 24/7 or worse, I'd have to go outside and *feels sick* interact with real people from the hellhole that I live in.

My childhood I had no internet but it was bloody shit. My adulthood has been absolutely no better, but some days I think that's mostly been caused by having the internet! Oh what a conundrum!

i would be ok with water, food, medical care and a place to sleep peacefully.
i don't watch tv so it would not be a problem there.
Also i lived without computer and internet til my 16th birthday so i would just have to deal with it now
