R9 290/x perhaps?

If you can wait (shouldn't be long) look for an R9 290 non-reference card otherwise get an R9 280X from either MSI, ASUS, Gigabyte or Sapphire. If you can find a cheaper 7970GHz card go with that, it's basically the same card as the R9 280X.

Those run at 50db+ as reference designs. What for an aftermarket variation if you don't want your PC to be as loud as a hair dryer. Originally Posted by ebah
