    Time to upgrade, Build help.

Well, it's been about 5 years and my old vista running (i know right) computer is starting to show its age. Looking to upgrade and take advantage of some black Friday/Nov deals.

Budget- ~950$ with a bit of wiggle room.

    Resolution- 1920x1080

Games / Settings Desired- WoW/D3/Sc2/Bf4/LoL with the best I can get away with.

Any other intensive software or special things you do (Frequent video encoding, 3D modeling, etc)- Nothing terribly intense.

    Country- USA

Parts that can be reused- None, trying for a completely new build to give my parents my old rig.

Do you need an OS? Yes, pref Win 8.

Do you need peripherals (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc)? Nope. Already have all the peripherals including monitor.

    Flexible Wishlist:

I7 or I5, prefer an intel CPU.

GPU can be whatever. I've always used AMD just by chance.

16GB RAM would be nice, my gf's rig has it and it's pretty awesome. Not mandatory though, and I don't know how much of a difference it really makes.

I'd like a smaller SSD in addition to the main HD just to run WoW off of. Does it really make a difference though?

I built my first rig with quite a bit of help from some friends, but don't really know much of the specifics of picking the right parts in the first place. Appreciate the help and any input you may have on my flexible wish list. I'm also not terrible concerned about OC'ing.

    Thanks again!

Made a few changes which means you could either get a bigger SSD like in the build below or simply save some money. You could also change to a better cooling solution instead if you prefer.
