    The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
    7/10

This is my first TES game. Overall, I liked it and sank almost 120 hours in it.

I adored the freedom of exploration: the game is pretty big, and the quests have you go all over the map to retrieve an item, kill a monster or find an NPC. There is a lot of things to do: just explore, level skills/stats, do main story quests, faction quests or random quests you stumble upon, farm gold, enchant items, buy or create new spells, talk to NPCs or read books to learn more about the lore, steal items from houses... The game also looks great with the Overhaul mod, it is almost like a modern game with all settings maxed out.

Now, to what I disliked. The combat is extremely simplistic and one-dimensional, and although it doesn't make the majority of the game, it still should have been better. Music is good, but limited: the same small set of tracks is played all the time, regardless of where you are - vast difference from what I'm used to from Bioware games, where tracks are varied between locations, creating the atmosphere. A lot of opportunities to break the game by creating extremely powerful enchantments, potentially infinitely leveling, etc. - and that's given that the game isn't hard as it is even on the hardest settings. Quests are extremely repetitive and boring: "Go to the other end of the map and bring me some magic ring; I won't tell you what that ring is and why I need it, just bring it to me", "Go to the other end of the map and kill someone", "Escort an NPC through half the map, trying not to ragequit due to their HORRIBLE pathing" (whoever designed those escort missions has earned a special place in hell). Extremely vague descriptions of quests: I lost count to how many times I had to consult with wiki to figure out what to do next or where to go. Quest description might say, "Go to the west from Tel Fyr and find a tomb in which an artifact lays" - while in reality it is closer to the north, just a bit to the west, and you will never in your life find it if you just follow the official directions.

Worst of all... BUGS! Holy mother of god, I don't think I've played such a bugged game ever in my life - and that's with the Code Patch, a mod that fixed a ton of bugs present in the original game. Sometimes you randomly fall through the floor and have to reload the game. Often some important script doesn't fire up, many of them game-breaking - I had to use console a few dozen times to fix things. Items randomly being unequipped, sometimes disappearing from the inventory; regular game crashes; NPCs getting stuck and not letting the players ever pass without killing them; some quest NPCs attacking you without talking to you, blocking you from completing quests...

All these cons considered, I enjoyed the game. I don't think I will ever be replaying it, one time is enough - but it got me into TES series and made me appreciate open world RPGs more. Now to play Oblivion and, then, Skyrim!

    Wolfenstein: The New Order 8.5/10

Before Doom, Bethesda resurrected another classic FPS franchise, Wolfenstein. The game is quite good. One of the best story based shooters I've played a in a while. The universe is incredibly intriguing being set in a world where the Nazis gained advanced technology and conquered the world. The guns are great, the action is frantic, and the story is epic and quite touching at moments. This is how you do a single player FPS people, and from all the reviews in this thread about Doom it seems they managed to capture that again.

I do have a few gripes that are kinda spoilery so you've been warned. There's a time skip at the beginning of the game of 14 years. But yet every single character looks exactly the same. No one looks exactly the same after 14 years. They don't have to look drastically different, but come on... if you're gonna do a time skip that have it be shown in your cast. Also there are several instances where Blaskovich (no idea if I spelt that correctly) gets stabbed or something but in the next cutscene he's completely unscathed. Both of these aren't major gripes though and are just a little immersion breaking.

Also, I feel like there's this interesting cast of characters that ultimately don't really do anything in the story. They're just kinda there. Would've been nice to see them incorporated in your missions and stuff.

    Broforce.

I'd give it about a 7. I've been keeping an eye on it since I found the trailer really amusing, and I grabbed it when it went on sale this week. I love all the 80's/90's action movie references, and the game itself is enjoyable. My only complaints are that the controls feel kinda awkward at times, and there is so much shit that can just randomly come out of nowhere and kill you. Some of the missions were a pain in the ass to beat, and I haven't even played it on hard yet.

Overall, the game is a lot of fun. It was a good way to spend 6 dollars.

Mirror's Edge --- 7.5/10: Got it on the steam sale for $4.99, damn was it worth it. Great gameplay, but it's a short game overall; the story felt quite a bit rushed, especially towards the end. I played a demo back when it came out and thought it was a fun, but forgot to get it. Never really bothered until now.

Saints Row IV --- 6/10: Eh, feels like it wanted to be the previous game in the series, but doesn't quite succeed. Even with aliens/superpowers/matrix/etc. it doesn't quite match the escalation of crazy that I loved in Saints Row: The Third. It just gets going and stays roughly at the same dynamic.

Also they missed an opportunity to use Beastie Boy's "Intergalatic" :P
Shhhhh, she's doing magical trig bullshit trig substitutions

The new DOOM. I'd give it a solid 9/10. Played on the nostalgia really well while also being completely new. Was everything I wanted out of a DOOM game. Would give it a 10 but the game doesn't scale too well, even on Nightmare. The more guns you get, the easier it is. Also didn't die to a single boss.

    Telltale's Game of Thrones Season 1 8/10

Really intriguing story, but I really started to feel like none of my choices mattered. Although there were 2 choices I made towards the end that were a big deal, but the game acts like you can approach those situations differently by making different choices and that's really not true. I will say though, despite me knowing that my choices don't really matter they really make you feel like the stakes are super high. Even more so than the Walking Dead games, I sat at the pause screen for a while to figure out what I should do.

As for the story itself, it's Game of Thrones, which means 90% of the time things are going to shit. I like the way they tied the story into the plot of the show. Although you shouldn't play the game unless you've gotten to around Season 3 of the Game of Thrones show.

    Tales from the Borderlands, 9/10.

My favorite Telltale game by far. I was close to giving up on their episodic offerings, but I enjoyed this thoroughly. I think the more light-hearted, humourous, road trip type adventure worked extremely well. I was laughing so often, my wife decided she wanted to play it too. This finished up the games I wanted to play from Telltale's humble bundle a while back. My ranking of the ones I played from best to worst:

    Tales from the Borderlands
    The Wolf Among Us
Puzzle Agent 1/2 (silly and simple, but had fun with them)
    The Walking Dead 1/2
Game of Thrones (may not have given it a fair shake, was so bored halfway through first chapter, finished out the chapter and didn't bother to continue)

My personal opinion is that Game of Thrones is definitely worth finishing. It's pretty stressful though, as very often you have to make a choice between two things, both of which you don't like the outcome (just like the series I suppose). Also it has Ramsay Bolton in it, who is just as awesome and creepy as in the show.

Just started Star Ocean, But last game completed was Witcher 3 + the 2 expansions which i will give 8/10 (10/10 for the original game, but 6/10 for HoS and 8/10 for B&W. since they didn't have the same feel as the root of the game.)

I have to fully agree with this. When I played this game, I was really surprised with how much I got drawn in. The storytelling and action were all outstanding. Best game I've played in a long time.

However, the sequel (Old Blood) was just a 5/10 for me. Did not seem like they put as much effort into it.

Doom (2016) - 10/10 Absolutely amazing, loved every bit of it and it really managed to recapture the classic Doom feeling, fast, hectic, bloody. Challenging enough, mistakes get punished fairly hard, but not overly difficult, simple story but fulfills it's purpose. Plenty of secrets to find. Multiplayer is decent at best, and should just be seen as an extra. Edit: Also, the soundtrack is GODLIKE.

Dead by Daylight - 5-6/10 (for now)

I like the concept and I'm enjoying playing this right now, but it's plagued with a bunch of issues, performance isnt great, there's a wide variety of bugs, glitches and crashes/DC issues (both ingame and in the menus/lobbies), and the game has quite a few balance issues aswell, like there being some spots on maps where the survivors can literally avoid the killer forever.

Gameplay can also get fairly repetitive and one of it's biggest flaws is that there is no grouping system, so you can't queue with friends. The only way to play with friends is if you're with 5 and simply play private matches with each other, which give no points to progress your characters with.

The good news is that the devs are very transparent and communicative so far, and have stated they're working on a Survive with Friends mode and have moderators constantly combing the bug report and feedback forums and are working on fixes, aswell as new killers and maps which will prevent the game from going stale, and if they manage to do all this, I'd happily give this game a solid 8-8.5/10. But for now, I don't recommend it.

Doom - 9/10 (only played single player)
Absolutely loved it. Combat, movement, level design, art direction, and music were all fantastic. The only thing I didn't care for was the no return points on several of the maps. This was a minor annoyance, and all the levels were fun enough to play, so I didn't mind replaying them for collectibles.

Rise of the Tomb Raider - 8/10.
More of the same from the reboot.

    Mirror's Edge Catalyst - 7.5/10.
Better than the original for the most part. Loved the art direction and the movement. Combat was still kind of crap, but you could for the most part just avoid K-sec. Glad I bought it, but probably won't play it a 2nd time.

    Oreshika tainted bloodlines 5/10

on one hand - super pretty, kinda interesting, better than anticipated character creator.

on the other hand, holy mother of protracted cutscenes and introductions - I thought I was typically a fan of cutscenes, but this was just.. too much even for me. it takes forever to get to actual gameplay, which felt to me like a pretty standard jrpg fare. though to be fare.. I got nowhere near finishing the game, because I kept getting bored with it, so... that influenced my grade as well

disclaimer.. I may or may not be cut out for JRPG's in general, they tend to not be my favorite no matter which one I'm trying. though I did enjoy Valkyria Chronicles a bit more.

Literally the last game I played or the last game you finished? I guess Super Smash Brothers for Wii U if last game I played.

It's pretty alright, maybe a 7/10? I've pretty much only played the competitive mode and it's fun but like most fighting games you don't naturally get better at the game to a real extent other than learning the match-ups. The game doesn't teach you advanced techs and most advanced techs don't get learned naturally. I generally prefer games where your progression as a player comes naturally rather than watching and emulating youtube videos of techniques that pros discovered messing about. I pretty much only tolerate the game because it's not too combo-heavy and it has characters I like.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII

    My rating so far: 8/10
Holy hell I don't know where all the negativity in the Steam reviews come from. Wait I can probably guess. Apparently it's all about nostalgia goggles and how 10 and 11 were so much 'better'. Well I haven't played 10 or 11 and don't intend to. So far been putting many hours into this game. The hero mode was pretty fun and serves as good tutorial for the main mode. I've just been creating original characters and been serving historical lords, building up cities, forming alliances and defending attacks from rival kingdoms.
This game is definitely not for everyone though, you definitely need a LOT of patience but so far I'm having a blast on it.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD 9/10

Fantastic game. Although after finally finishing the game for myself I don't really understand why people give it so much shit. The very beginning of the game is slow, but people act like it stays slow until you can switch between wolf and human at will which I definitely don't agree with at all. I've also always heard that it's too "edgy" but I think that's the internet being the internet. People wanted a darker LoZ after Wind Waker and you got it. It wasn't Majora's Mask style quirkiness and darkness, but it had its own flair to it. The dungeons and bosses were phenomenal as well. The puzzles felt challenging without ever resulting in frustration. Also Midna was a great companion.

    Furi 8/10

Pure boss rush mode with some exposition in between. I feel they could've filled the space between bosses better, because I often found myself hitting the auto walk button and then checking MMO Champ or something while I walked to the next boss. The combat is simple but the depth comes from the bosses themselves. As for the bosses, I think they are really well designed. Some throw new mechanics at you that you have to master while others throw mechanics you've seen before in new ways. These bosses have multiple phases and the fights can be a test of both skill and endurance. There are two phases in particular that stand out to me as being "unfair" in that I never found out how to actually avoid them. I ended up having to just survive them and make it up by avoiding the rest of the bosses' attacks.

The price is something that should be mentioned though. It's free on PS+ right now so if you have PS+ then absolutely go download this. I know that we get a lot of games that just end up going in the backlog through PS+ but this one is definitely worth trying. If you have a PS4 but don't have PS+ then definitely pay the 10 bucks or whatever for the month to get this game. As for PC gamers, it is $25. That's a tougher sell because a full playthrough took me 4 hours and 45 minutes. Now, the game is definitely geared towards replayability both through trying the Furier difficulty that unlocks after you beat Furi mode as well as doing speedruns to get the highest rank on the bosses. I think it's pretty fun and I could see myself coming back and fighting these bosses again for fun. If you plan to replay this game then I feel you'll get your bang for the buck, but if not, then it's a tough sell.

Astrox: Hostile Space Excavation (Indi space mining game on steam) 8/10

Have you ever played Eve Online and thought to yourself "I wish i could just sit here and mine in peace without having some sociopath in a suicide Cat show up and turn me into a vapor cloud." Then this is the game for you. Its a single player game that has (pretty accurately) been described as EVE Offline. The comparisons to EVE are inescapable for anyone who has played both games.

Deceptively simple at first, but with a pleasant amount of depth in ship/skill upgrades once you figure things out. The AI can be made as harmless or as utterly lethal as you want using the galaxy creator. There is fuck all story, but games like these tend to rely on self-imposed goals to offer replay value. Do i want to play a drone build? Do i want to try and armor tank? Passive shield tank? Try my hand at station trading? The list goes on and on.

Pro-Tip: A dual active shield booster drone boat with four assault batteries feeding them cap is basically god-mode. Stupidly, game-breakingly op unless you really ramp up the AI danger level.
