    Nvidia 670 SLI question

    Hey guys,

I was thinking about getting myself another 670 for Christmas. I have no experience with SLI, but I am pretty confident I'll be able to get it work. What I'm not entirely sure of is whether I'll have enough power for the two cards.

The other parts that I think are relevant to power consumption are: i5 3570k, Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H.

I have a Corsair TX650 watt PSU. Will this be enough for SLI 670s?

    Cheers

Without knowing the full system I would say no.
Even with no overclocking on the CPU & GPU's it will be very close.

    Cheers for the response.

    For my full build:

    GPU: Nvidia 670
    CPU: i5 3570k (not OC)
    MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H
    RAM: 4gb G.Skill Ripjaws 1600mhz x3
    128gb SSD
HDD: 1 TB Seagate Barracuda x2
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
    (hoping i got everything..)

I read through that thread and there seems to be some indecision.

*EDIT* Should have refreshed before I posted. Thanks for the response, Evn. Your route does seem to be the way to go. I did do a google search after I read Toffie's thread, and there are a few sites that say its fine, heaps of room (even after OCing both of them), then others say that there's no way.

I would really like to SLI, so I suppose trying it out and replacing my PSU if I have to won't be a bad thing.

    Cheers.
