I have a female character with my name, Robert. I don't think it's much of a mystery.
Well it's a game... and roleplay. So you want to stop me playing my paladin which is male?! (I'm indeed female)
2. I'll never understand the mindset that looking at one cartoon's butt is better than looking at another.
3. Agreed. I personally can't stand the way Male Night Elves, Humans (they aren't as bad as some of these), Draenei (the worst), and Worgens look.
4. Another important reason why people pick the gender is due to their animations as well.
Real easy solution to this is, don't try to get sexually involved with people on wow, or if someone is willing to type a paragraph about fucking you, just roll with it and don't ask too many questions?
"If you want to control people, if you want to feed them a pack of lies and dominate them, keep them ignorant. For me, literacy means freedom." - LaVar Burton.
May be only partially on topic but I'm super duper sick of - even gd Ghostcrawler does it - the tired, lame argument: "Well, if I have to stare at a butt all day, I'm at least going to stare at a female butt".
Maybe I've been doing it wrong since open beta but when I play wow I do not stare at my character's butt in the first place.
I mostly play male characters, but I do have a couple of female ones as well. I don't stare at their anatomy either.
What I've found most interesting is that according to the Daedalus Project, men often select female avatars when planning to play more support-type roles--an interesting peek into perception of how one gender is more appropriate to a particular play style. Conversely, women tend to be more indiscriminate, with character role not having a direct correlation to which gender they select.
It's not an argument. It's a fact. We LOOK at our characters' butts and we prefer female ones.
My Little Borg: Friendship is Irrelevant
It's a video game, and I would say the majority of players do not roleplay. Anyone that has a problem is more of a suspect than those that do play females in my book. If your lonely romantically please for the love of god don't play eharmony in wow.
If a guy playing a female character in a game truly bothers you, then you are the one who has a serious problem with themselves.
Must suck how you couldn't play Tomb Raider or how any females can't play BF4.
Some race/class combos are simply better suited for females. I don't like being a big muscular Tauren guy who wears a flower on his head, that's why my Tauren Druid is female.
Plus, you really gotta love Action Man or other action figures to want to play as a male Human.
OP made me lol.
I'm a guy and I play only male toons. Not that I don't like the female character models or anything; I just get this dishonest feeling playing a female toon in pretty much any game. Color me weird.
Also, remember you are dealing with GIRL (Guy in real life) in a MMORPG (many men online role playing girls) setting.
