    [TV] The Killing...*probably spoilers*

    Does anyone watch this show?

I understand it's based on a Danish show, and I like the multi-season, one crime thing, and I really like that most of the people in the series strike me as real people - IE, no insanely pretty cops questioning ruggedly handsome suspects. In fact, the two lead detectives might even be considered ugly, which might be why this show passes under the radar in the world of CSI flashiness. The grittiness is pretty awesome too, it gives me a totally different view of Seattle (previously only seen through shows like Frasier and Grey's Anatomy).

But sometimes, some of these plots used to extend the life of the crime and its investigation are baffling to me. The first crime, the murder of Rosie Larson, which covered the first two seasons, was pretty good in season 1, and then started to get outrageous in season 2.

And I just finished watching the 3rd season, which was about a serial killer of street kids, girl prostitutes, etc. And at the end of the season, they've caught and killed the confessed killer, though no one knows its him except for the two main detectives, one of whom has killed the killer, a high ranking police officer, caught and found the guy making kiddie porn, and seemingly resolved the crime. Yet basic points from the plot of the season (the location of the first missing girl, the fallout from the season finale, the whole arc with the prison guard) remain unresolved, but seemingly too little to mean that season 4 will be dedicated to this same crime. I'm just confused as to whether this particular crime's storyline is done. If it isn't...what're they going to do next season with it?

    Geez.

Well.. first mistake of this show is that it's is based on a "Danish show"
Now don't get me wrong, I really love living here and it is general a very nice place.. But that being said, our TV sucks. We got crap' remakes of Japanese and US shows and if there finally is something new, never seen before. It ends up being weird, badly written or has the biggest plot holes -.-'

I don't think the show copies the plot, I think it's just a format copy which we'd never really explored in American dramatic television before (a multi-season criminal investigation story).
