I'm VERY excited for WoD. It cannot come out soon enough.

Kids were promised a new toy. Kids get excited. No surprises.
Soulrender, You have my sword.
The majority of people are very excited for it, just look at the polls that are posted attempting to gain support for the negatives, only to have a more positive vote count. You think you're one of the few because no one wastes their time writing a post about how much they like the new ideas, except the OP. Its always the squeaky wheels, but lets hope they dont' get any grease.

I wonder if I'm in the minority of ppl who have been excited for every xpac. The closest I came to not being excited about an xpac was TBC, but that was before I really knew a lot about WoW. I had played WC3, and was also disappointed it wasn't WotLK, so that was probably the biggest reason.
Back to topic: I am VERY excited about the new xpac. Especially,: garrisons, model updates, exploring Draenor & finding all those treasures, continuing the story (esp Paladin/Priest lore), & a free lvl 90 (I'm an altaholic, in case you didn't notice my sig.)
If by "excited" you mean "looking forward to it" then yes. But since cata was meh and mop catastrophic for me, I don't have much hopes to have a blast like in wotlk/tbc. So in the end I have no hopes to lose.
I'm not excited, but I haven't been since WotLK. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy the game. But instead of being the 7 year old bubbling under the Christmas tree, I feel more like the 17 year old lounging on the couch texting their friends.
It seems to me like the developers decided to make a list of all potentially contentious changes (one raid size, squish, gear changes, etc..) they want to bring into the game, and do them all at once. May as well ride out 1 big storm. As such, the expansion has a "take your medicine" kind of feel to me.
The sales pitch there are doing about improving raids rings hollow to me. There is a tried and true formula for building raid encounters. Anything that strays too far from the formula is labelled a "gimic". Gimics, generally, are fun for a small portion of the raid and frustrating for the rest. I am not convinced they will have any better luck balancing the encounters with 1 format as opposed to 2.
I liked the Sunsong Ranch, and garrisons will clearly be more robust. But once you've got it levelled and have figured out how to min/max your production, it will be another chore and not compelling game play.
I'm one of those players who kinda like dailies. They gave me a sense of atmosphere and story. I have really struggled with the Timeless Isle. I'm pretty sure the npc at the flight point said "Hey, we found an island crammed full of 496 gear. Ride around and tag rares. Watch tv until it's time to loot". I don't know what a timewalker is, what they do, or if they are even on this Noah's Arc of MoP creature models. So while I'm interested in the story they are going to present in WoD, I worry it's presentation may be lost on me.
I do rated pvp twice a week. Rated pvp is a complete mess right now with numerous trial balloons and reversals. Every season there is another poorly thought out initiative. It feels like there is no plan, no big picture. Just reactionary bandaid after reactionary bandaid. There is no sign that things will change.
The new raid size will cause a significant number of existing guilds to reorganize. WoW is a social game, and connections with friends are very important. It is natural to feel apprehensive about the upcoming expansion if the future of your own social circle is cloudy or uncertain.
So ya, there is lots of "No Flying? Unsubbed." hyperbole. I'm glad to see people in this thread who are enthusiastic about WoD. But it's not correct to label all who aren't as "moaners and crybabies". There are numerous reasons why players may feel unsettled about the path ahead.
AmI really excited for WoD?
Sadly no.
There was nothing released that got me excited except maybe new character models but even with that everyone will get them and you wont have to buy the expansion to get them. Plus, I rarely zoom in that close to even pay attention.
So no. I am not currently really excited. Hell, I'm not even in the area of happy anticipation.
But at least we have 6-9 months of waiting to hope things change.

No mate you are not alone most people are, they dont post them cause they get flamed by people who only knows how to QQ , even a friend of mine that stopped WoW told me that it must be one awsome expansion.
I'M HELLA PUMPED!!! Seriously though, I'm super excited.
The fact I made an account just because I'm hyped about WoD says something.
I was disappointed at first, considering the lack of a new class/race and it being Time related, but now that I heard how the time travel part comes into existence and the more features/zones/raids/character models/mythic mode, I'm now rather excited and I'm leveling alts preparing for it.
I hate leveling alts, but I'm enjoying it now that it'll be good for next xpac
Plus my server has a waiting que up to 400 on some nights at peak. That's rare this late in a patch, even on a big server like mine

Many people are excited for WoD - just that you really can't expect 7+ million people to be in the forums posting (not to mention some may have multiple accounts for the sake of trolling)
It's more trendy or cool or whatever to respond negatively to it. There's a big culture of negativity in this game. In addition, it's always for common for people to post negative comments on the forums than positive. It's the amazon reviews phenomenon.
Also, this game is a lot of different things to lots of different people. It is impossible for BLizzard to live up to each person's vision of what the future should be.
Also, I see a lot of people confusing a few people's opinions on the forum as universal opinions. People often try to make their posts seem weighty by saying that large populations agree with them. WHile this is sometimes the case, there are millions of people playing and there are always going to be large contingents of players who agree with any given idea.
I'm most excite for Garrisons, gives a nice RTS feel to WoW (I also like that type of web browser game). I like them adding in the extra optional content like pet battles.
5 or 10 levels it will be the same amount of experience needed to hit max level.
One of the major things I don't like is the restriction of flying until the first major patch. The problem I have with that is that it's not a set amount of time, the first major patch could be 1, 2 or 3 months after release. I would much rather a set amount of time, say 4 or 5 weeks so know exactly when it's going to happen.
I'm not. I am massively disappointed for this expansion. Not a single feature has excited me or made me want to resub.
