it has like 50+ proxies up >.< guess it's better than inexperienced users can't instantly access it but anyone that's spent more than a day using Google would instantly be able to access a proxy

You cant block anything unless the people are uninformed.

If my hand wasn't so busy right now, I'd go sign that petition.

Why you think the 'net was born?

You're not allowed to discuss conspiracy theories on mmo-champion, which makes me wonder what they're trying to hide.

Obviously there are ways to by pass that.

But your average teenage girl, wanted that new Twilight movie but PirateBay no longer works, getting a proxy probably not the first thing they think of.

Did anyone actually read the petition? I know the OP didn't. It isn't a ban on porn.. it's a petition to force a segregation of pornographic material such that households can opt-out of being able to gain access.

Which is, in all reality, improbable to be able to be accomplished.. even if the government went forward with it.

If it were truly bad for people, there'd be a lot more blind folks running around, given the old "you'll go blind from doing that" BS line people used to use.

    Now, some audio/visual porn

Why is that so? It is just like parental control but always on unless you call the ISP and opt in, so that should work to a degree, no?

The reason I no longer watch porn has nothing to do with morality and values. It is because of the working conditions, and the way actors are treated.

Look up some interviews and testimonials from people who have worked in the industry......it is pretty awful.

You know what I have and have not done have you? Apparently you didn't even read my first post. I explicitly stated I don't give a shit about the porn and that my focus was on the fact that people seem to believe that can just "opt out" and it'll magically disappear. People don't understand how things works.

Just found this from a friend and I've got to say that's quite a large number of people that don't seem to understand how the internet works. Do people really think it's as simple as "opting out"? Like suddenly you'll never see it again if you opt out(Do not call list anyone? Opting out works so well....)

I could care less if they actually banned but I'm wondering are there that many people that really just have no concept of how things work?
No-one will EVER be able to ban pornography. NO-ONE! It's a humongous industry with billions of dollars in revenue.

But you can just opt-in and everything would be exactly same as now though, isn't it?

All it takes was ticking a box when sign up for the internet (from what I read from the article it seems that's all it takes)

Once anything is on the internet it'll never go away, people can circumvent it easily - it's beyond absurd the government even thinks this stance would even work, it's patently ludicrous.

To misquote Jurassic Park, "Porn will find a way."

You could always go with animated porn.
