Being constructive feels good. You should try it.
I love how warriors are fotm, it makes arena so much easier. As long as you stay away from their bladestorm/oneshot macro. Then you should be fine, and as a ret pally I laugh in the face of their cds when I bubble then open up with my cds, easily defeating them in a matter of seconds.
Ahh I see, you want a more nuts and bolts on how to deal with warriors at probably 2k+?
Some general tips I guess would be a good starting point.
1.) Don't let everyone make you think that you have to save all your CDs for the sub 35% phase. Second wind only ticks for 3% health every second and it is affected by fatigue, mortal strike debuffs and necrotic strike so it is almost non healing. There have been patches when it was not affected, patches when it was bugged, etc so it has this air of invincible. The reason most warriors take it over the other talents is because it is automatic and it allows you to heal up while kiting. I know I have one a few cross kill games because I will damage/kite and let second wind heal and then damage again.
2.) Warriors burst comes from slam spam. It hits really hard and is boosted by csmash, but it takes a lot of rage to dump. If you can force a warrior to play in defensive stance it cuts their rage generation a ton and as result of that cuts down on their scary damage.
3.) Watch their rage bar. Most warriors will use overpower when they are saving up rage and then build a full rage bar so they can dump three slams into you during a csmash. If a warrior is building their bar like that the burst is coming so play appropriately.
4.) Check for both spell reflect and mass spell reflect before casting your big hit. I have noticed a lot of warriors now use both at the same time, and if you cast one spell it eats mass reflect first. Just be aware if you are trying to poly him that he may have both up.
5.) Most warriors run 12 second charge instead of double charge. So if you get charged the only way for them to gap close after that is leap or intervene to banner/teammate. A lot of warriors are also running stormbolt so be aware if you blink away from them that you may eat a full stun and they will be able to gap close and get to you. I try to hold blink against warriors until I can blink to a pillar, it makes everything easier.
6.) When warriors parry it also reduces damage by 20% so just because you are not melee they still take some reduced damage.
Once you understand how a warrior does their damage and how they mitigate damage it becomes less scary. I think you already know to kite during reck/banner but also be aware that just because they are on you does not mean you will die. Their uptime is big, yes but they still have to setup burst like everyone else. This mostly relies around being able to smash and having a full rage bar, so if a warrior stuns/charges you with zero rage then don't worry about it too much. If a warrior stuns/charges you with full rage and your healer is in CC then worry because he is about to hurt you, leap to your healer and fear/stun them and then back on you to finish you off.
erm did I miss here something but a frost mage asking about tactics against warriors? if a warrior can counter a mage then this game has changed a lot since cata and since the first release.
any decent mage rips through warrior. Blink on charge, stormbolt, shockwave W/E. Block if u dont have one. Root 24/7 aaaand he's dead.
Warriors are junk in pvp, I smoke them all day long on my dk and my lock, fear dot dot dot...
On my mage I have no issues at all with them, So I don't really know how to advise you on that, on my Druid I can have issues with them, that's just because I play Guardian, and i can get them down easy enough, But when they get low enough for their Second Wind to kick in, and use a defensive cooldown, it's about timing, because as a tank I can't gather the DPS needed without c/ds, but, that's what c/ds are for, I use glyphed survival instincts and bear hug, that destroys hp, and use Incarnation at the same time and everything is normally golden
But my best advice, is practice, find some warriors and duel them

This second wind whine is getting ridiculous.

Honestly the easiest way to beat a warrior is to spec into blazing speed and ice ward. With the extra nova and the speed boost he's going to have a really hard time keeping up with you. Save your blinks, novas, blazing speeds, and ice wards for when he connects on you. For instance, when he charges you blink and cast ice ward, then when he heroic leaps to you (which he will, they pretty much always do.) let him tap you. He will be frozen in place and you can blazing speed away and you should have plenty of opportunity to get damage on the warrior. Since Ice ward is a low cooldown keep it up always it really helps. Other than that, stay away from blade storm and cc/pop defensive cooldowns during reck and it should be an easy win for you as a mage.
EDIT: wanted to add that when he spell reflects just fire blast him to remove it.
you dont put a true warrior down even if chuck norris is with ya
