I loved doom3. The doom3 multiplayer had me hooked for a few years. I miss all those people i used to play that game with. I was temped to pick it up for ps3 when they did the re-release.

Don't know about that, Terminator:future shock had all those sorts of things and I do believe pioneered mouse look. It really was a landmark title that time forgot, it looks like crap compared to quake though and had a sort of clunky gameplay that is basically bethesda's calling card.

Then there was marathon, but I don't think you could even jump in that. Run across gaps as in doom 2 maybe. Long time, can't really remember.
Interesting. Never heard of Future Shock. Wonder what algorithm they are using to determine visibility - Carmack decided to pre-compute it all. Lighting wise it would seem they most used vertex lighting (vs the light maps of Quake).

Wow, this is way bigger than Ghostcrawler leaving Blizzard. At least to me.

I grew up with Doom and Doom2 :P
