Looking for an okay laptop for around 500-800.

Looking through the Black Friday adds I'm not sure what to be looking for in terms of specs for a laptop. I am purchasing one for school and to play games such as wow counter strike ect. On. I also have a desktop I could use some parts for. Is it worth looking for deals on those too? Thank yoh

A $500 you won't be doing a whole heck of a lot coming to gaming...Unless you need a computer constantly on the road/school/work there a complete waste of money any laptop. You sacrifice so much performance for the mobility. But you said it's for school so in your case it ain't. Just don't expect to be running games on it unless there old or on lowest of settings.

Ah I didn't realize it was that bad. I can spend up to 1,000 on Black Friday or whatver for a laptop I thought there would be a decent one for playing games

Thanks for the advice I'll probably do that. I may end up just upgrading my PC instead. I'll have to decide

Anything with a dedicated GPU is going to cost a bit. Maybe look into a laptop with an APU. The good ones can run games decently at lower settings.
