sounds like you're excited because it's something new. Tanking is super fun at low levels, I mean you're a god essentially almost nothing can really hurt you, at least not on it's own. Tanking can be fun at high levels but in raids you don't just pull every single thing, some boss fight may consist of you just sitting there (not often though), which can lead to tanking being rather boring.
There is a certain set of how fights will go, and although some fights in a raid may have all new mechanics, in the end most of them are the same with just another way of doing the mechanics. Being a DPS of course you'd be watching your big numbers fly and meters, as a tank you're swapping taunts off the other tank

Don't listen to the haters, Warriors are awesome. I've been playing mine since release.

I quite frankly enjoy lvl 90 prot warriors as well, very fun to tank with and they do great damage! (vengeance is op i tell you)

Tanks and Healers are basically immortal gods at low levels, don't get used to it.

I'm glad you're having fun OP. What a bunch of lame hater posts that followed though. Everyone needs to get off their high horse and let someone have fun for a while. Sure the game changes as you progress, but if he's having fun at 50 he'll have fun at 90. We need more people tanking in general so more power to anyone that will do it!

    Yeah, this and a half.

Some of us can be understandably bitter that we'd felt abused, gimp and neglected for much of the expansion and that compounded with them wrecking the class on us for an expansion and a half before getting it right are really just context. It shouldn't be a reason someone new shouldn't try the role and enjoy it.

Right now, at max level, Warrior tanking is competitive and fun and feels right in a way it hadn't for a very long time. If OP is enjoying at low levels he/she is likely to only love it more as the levels ramp up and the gear comes along to make the balancing work out. The rage starvation era was no fun at all but gear fixes that.

Would enjoy my prot war a lot more if they allowed us the option to use some haste. 1.5 gcd puts me to sleep sometimes...

having all tanking classes at 90, i do think i enjoy warrior the most as a pure tank. I however always find things i like more about the other tanking classes, atm im playing my druid and warrior looks like more fun again. This is just a personal issue i have i gues, the only thing i really dislike about warrior tanks is the dps spec i use for questing i just cant get into the warrior dps specs.

Just quest as prot. They do more than enough DPS to quest, and with their survivability they can pull multiple mobs at once.

    That's what I do.
There is a thin line between not knowing and not caring, and I like to think that I walk that line every day.

Before this game ended for me, prot warrior was my main.
the most fun tank, again, for me.

    'glad you like it.

    try pulling with:
    heroic throw>charge>heroic leap
-¡'m not sure if this is still working tho. ah, good times.

prot warrior is the only class I can really enjoy, even though they've completed gutted it and tanking is a walk in the park compared to the old days.

Sorry but that's nonsense, especially when talking about tanks. Until you have all your tools you can't really say if you will still like the class.

Spaming shield block is nice and easy, but when you'll have shield barrier in the balance it become harder. You have to track your vengeance, track your incoming damage. I know at least 2 people who didn't liked the shield barrier adition and left their warrior tank.
Then come the difficulty change. Of course rushing while being immortal is fun. But when you will have to work for you agro ? (not happening until WoLK or BC dps aoe spam if I remember right, long time I didn't play a low level) And when you will have to work for your own survivability ? (not until cata dungeon when you will take bigger hit)

People here don't tell him to not have fun. But explain what a tank's life really is and it's NOT like @50 at all. Thinking otherwise would be incredibly naive.

Outside of that. @OP if your skin is thick enough welcome to the tanking side of the force ! (myself having all tanking class @90)

might just give that a shot, I would really want to stick to 1 tanking class as it is now all my chars are a bit half n half geared.

Glad you enjoy tanking, I found that out back in vanilla and did my hardcore tanking of all raids through wotlk before quitting in 4.3... Tanking is one of my favorite roles next to dpsing.

As long as you still enjoy it at 90 in LFR with every idiot in the world crying over anything/everything and always wiping on Nazgrim you'll be fine.
I hated tanking on my BrM, you over work yourself to accomplish the same thing other tanks can do with ease. It reminded me of playing a Bard in EQ, you have to constantly be in a rhythmic sync or else you'll lose your tankability and go from tank to squished in seconds. Also, BrM has the lowest number of OH SHIT defensive CDs of any tanks by far. I counted. Was not fun.
