this week we had our first tries on siegcrafter hc, although it was sort of disastrous, we gained a lot from those few tries. The biggest issue we faced were the shock missiles. We decided (to be precise, me as the raid lead) to doge overcharged mines and go for the missiles as it should be a great dps saver for our cc-lacking setup, however, for this strategy to be effective the missiles should spawn at least near to the boss. What we experienced were missiles spawning on the opposite side of the room (we tank the boss near the assembly line where we destroy the weapons). A lot of kill videos offer PoVs where the missiles spawn close to the tank and it is always mentioned how important positioning is for this "pattern" to happen.
Can anyone provide information on how exactly to position or certain areas that have to be avoided, because positioning everyone in one half of the room (with roughly 8 yards from the middle) clearly did not work.
From our own observations, they choose the starting spawn point based on a random raid member position. You should position your ranged dps to the left of the boss tanking location and in the same quarter (they should not go far behind) so they spawn near them and spread to the boss or, in worst scenario, spawn at melee and spread further, which is okay, because tanks/melee can handle that easily (in case of overcharged missiles).
Here's our movie of a kill and the missile spawn is not a "lucky pull", it's what we get constantly.
