WOW statue/figure collectors: WTF are these chinese WOW figures? Just bootlegs?

They look like customized bootlegs, just stumbled on them on Ebay. I love DC Direct's scultps but the poses sure get annoying after a while for being overly dynamic IMO and less neutral. I do like a lot of them quite a bit, so don't think I'm talking about all of them. But check out these Chinese knock offs, at least I think they're knock offs. The details on things like the hair are clearly less distinct and clunky but they are kind of neat.

Sylvanas



I was hoping to see some more characters than these but other than the orc shaman being given some blades on his fist, I don't see any other distinct differences in the line ups.

Anyways, just thought it was interesting. I haven't bought any DC Direct figures since the series with Magni and Sylvanas, but I intend to catch up. I really want that Paladin in Judgement as well as Garrosh and the Gnome Warlock and the Forsaken Male Deathknight and the Forsaken Priestess.

It's a damn shame DC Direct isn't making more. I wonder if the license is open, I should ask a friend of mine who's one of the lead sculptors at NECA, NECA would make articulated and detailed figures in the style of Mcfarlane Toys, would be cool to see articulated poseable WOW characters with that kind of detail.

The details are much sharper on DC Direct's, but it's cool seeing her in a neutral pose.

It's interesting to learn from Glen Rayne that Chris Metzen wanted Sylvanas' hair to be black with white streaks, but Rayne accidentally painted it corpse green and they just went with it.

Sometimes I miss her old Night Elf model wearing the Deathbringer armor, but the custom in game model was jaw dropping the first time I saw it. All i could think was "someday in the future, far-far in the future, our player models will look nearly that cool".
