Returning Wizard questions...

Hi guys,

I've been playing D3 again, leveling some new toons, etc, but last night, I logged onto my 60 wizard who was stuck in Act II Inferno shortly post launch, and who I haven't played since.

I was playing through Act II reasonably easy yesterday, but felt a bit glass cannony. I stopped playing this toon before the force armor nerfs (waaaaaaaaaay early in the game's cycle) so I feel a bit squishy and sometimes just get gibbed pretty fast. Storm Armor seems pretty powerful but if anything touches me, I get gibbed.

Anyways, I've been using Blizzard (Snowbound)/ArcOrb (Celestial) with Energy Armor (Force), Venom Hydra, Diamond Skin (Crystal), and Archon, basically the build I was going with before the nerfs a long time ago. I just generally put down a hydra, spam Blizzard til everything is slowed, and then maybe pass an Orb through it when I'm regenning AP. If anything teleports or stealths, I need to be pretty precise on my diamond skin. Running Blur/Evo/GalvWard passives.

Are there more traditional wizard farming builds these days? Not too up-to-date on the changes, so any help will be appreciated.

Edit: Game is much easiere now days. Basicly its just a grind fest with no real point to it anymore. Infact the hole game is pointless, OUTSIDE off the fun you can have on your own and paragon lvling at the moment...(Waiting on ROS)

I also don't have much gold (130k), and am not a huge fan of playing the AH...which is why I'm back, with its pending removal and loot 2.0. You say Archon build is best for poor people, but how about utterly broke?

If you aint into AH play you just gotta salvage items you find - Else hope on drops (Drops never happen....dont get your hope up).

I read the guide and watched the vids. I guess I just have to farm up 1m or so, shouldn't be hard.

I bound meteor shower to the off hand key, use mana regen talents, blast everything. :P

I actually use meteor shower though. Higher total damage though often you'll not hit with all of the meteors, then it only does the damage of the other varieties. : P

I found entertaining with my wizard the Disintegrate build, plus a couple of more RP builds like the lighting mage and frost mage.

Cannot wait for RoS and find the legedary that gives freeze chance to all chilling effects!
