Anyone good with Photoshop?

I'd like this image to have Russel Crowe's face disappear from it and be replaced with a similar dark blue from the rest of the sky.

I'm not looking for a work of art just something that doesn't look bad like what I tried to do in Paint.

I can do a 2 cent Photoshop travesty out of that, sure. I just don't know how the fuck to use Photoshop, but oh well.

EDIT: Here's a 15min fuckup of the picture. Honestly though, it's about the best I can do, regardless of the time spent:
