Dark Shaman 10N 3 Tank Problems

We have had a few pulls on this and come incredibly close but the actual kill just hasnt happened yet for a few different reasons.

We're using the 3 tank method, all three have pretty good gear. Our roster only has two healers, a mistweaver (me) and a resto shaman.

We burn down dogs and take to 75%, then move haromm inside and kardris to the aisle. We have all DPS outside on kardris, and me healing a druid and pally tank inside on haromm. The outside group have no problems, its inside where some confusion is.

We've had a 2% wipe due to just getting too hecitc inside, but our first attempt yesterday was going perfectly up until about 10% when the whole thing just reset.

Is it worth going it the 'normal' way or is there any tips to make the 3 tank work better?

    Thanks

On week 1 we 1 shot it with okay gear with 2 tank strategy I would recommend trying it or taking Harrom up the aisle and keeping Kardris at the bottom

Why are you going inside? Clear the upper hill and tank Haromm up there. Plenty of space.

What BElloc said, take Haromm right up the side where you go to get to Nazgrim. Face the first Ashen wall against the back wall and then just focus on keeping them so you aren't boxed in etc. You'll only ever have two walls up at one time. We use our resto shammy with our Haromm tanks and a holy pally to keep the raid up. We also move Haromm up as soon as the dogs are dead.

3 tank for 10 man normal is some serious overkill.

If you've cleared normal and overgear it maybe. Sure, you can do it with two with less gear, but it's just much simpler with 3 and lowers the chance of someone messing up (which might be very likely in group that's still progressing this on norm)

It's a perfectly viable strat and probably the most common strat for heroic. Definitely fine for a first kill on normal.

We used this strategy as well on progress after having trouble 2 tanking it, makes the fight very easy.
A few things i might add are:
We take 1 or 2 melee dps inside with Haromm as well, since they will probably have less dps outside due to all the movement. As the bosses have shared health pools they get more uptime on them inside. Also, it makes dealing with Foul Stream easier, as there are more people that can be targetted by it, not only tanks and healer. Make sure the one that is targetted goes as far away from the rest as possible, and in the opposite direction that you will be placing the next Ashen Wall.
Of course make absolutely sure that all Ashen Walls are, literally, on the walls of the room, to keep the middle area clean. When the Wall is cast, move the boss next to the last elemental(ofc don't get hit by them!).
We also take Haromm inside as soon as the dogs are dead, but that is more convenience than anything else.

My advice is to take most, if not all melee dps inside with Haromm, keep the tank's back stuck to the wall when Ashen Wall comes and you will be golden.

Yeah this. If you have made it to dark shamans, you'll have at the very, very least the same gear that people had when killing it week 1. Two tank and you'll be just fine.

Two tank it bro - Use defensive cds @ pull, only time damage is really high bar the bosses bloodlust @ 20% by which time the cds will be back. What helps us to set 4 markers around the area, one near the bank, one near the AH, and two either side of the gates. Then we just kite around calling out which marker we're moving too, Tanks shout out which marker they're running too with foul geyser and everyone can easily avoid it whilst ranged nuke down. Anything else becomes trivial as ashen walls are easy to avoid/place and you never really run out of room.

Unfortunately the fight relies on your tanks learning to deal with ashen walls, also a nice tip that both bosses can be disarmed which again makes the damage they deal trivial.

Save bloodlust for 20% and boom easy kill. Make sure your raid is stacking when possible so it's easy for whoever gets foul stream to simply move away from people

If you can 3 tank it I don't see why you shouldn't. It makes it so that you only have to deal with one set of boss abilities per mini team and makes the fight so much cleaner.

Just drag Haromm up the hill instead of into the room. Face directly up or down the hill at 50% and sub 50% to dump the ashen walls perfectly and move down as you dump the walls. The person in that group that gets toxic stream on them should stand still until its planted and the others move to avoid it. The debuff on Haromm side can be negated a lot using Hand of purity for its last 6 seconds to ease the healer burden. The pala can also eternal flame people up there since 2 tanks on Haromm is a bit of a snooze fest, he may as well use a lot of utility!

I wasnt even aware people 3 tanked this on normal.

But if it works, then hey I aint one to bash it.

3 tanking it on Normal seems a bit silly imo. There's no reason to do so but sure, if you have issues moving from stuff, I guess it's fine. But as others have said, just move Haromm up the hill and everything is fine.

How did it get hectic inside? All you have to deal with is Ashen Wall.

    3 tanks? Good lord.
Pro solution: 2 tanks, start where they spawn, move to the right of Garrosh's room, keep curving round every time aoe gets dropped.
keep ranged dps behind the boss so they don't spawn shit in the tanks path, when the tank gets foul geyser and the oozes spawn, have them treck back where they've already been to drop the oozes, ranged dps switch to them and nuke em down, keep moving right and do a giant loop round the whole place until you end back up where you started, rinse and repeat.
This fight favours 3 ranged, 3 melee, 2 tanks, 2 healers it sounds like you're massively overcomplicating your fight.

If you 3 tank it on normal there's literally no way anyone could die outside of standing in the ashen flare.

I'm guessing the genius tank might be doing walls wrong.

You do not and should not use 3 tanks for Shamans Normal.

2 tanks should be able to do it perfectly well ontop of oneanother running from building to building as each storm comes out.
    pencil is cool

for those who say 3 tanks over complicate things... why? Because u do it like this? Yeah we did it with 2 tanks the first week as well, and it was messy as hell... If we had known the things we had today, we had went with 3 tanks as well and one shot instead back then. It is not that difficult on normal, but still, why would anyone suggest making it harder for them?

Stick with your 3 tank strategy, just go up the hill instead of into the hut, then there is so much more space and things wont go messy for you

The fight is easy enough with the bosses together and goes a lot faster when you can cleave the bosses.

Whats up with all these bashing downs syndrom kids? If they want to 3 tank NM shamans, let them. As someone mentioned, tanking the dude one of them up the hill as most people do on HC makes the fight much much easier.
