Chrome Malware Notification

Attempted to visit a thread (/threads/1291936-It-s-not-Nostalgia) and got the standard Malware notification from Chrome for the site wowvault[dot]ign[dot]com.

Made both citations of links idiot-proof so people don't go clicking accidental browser-spawned hypertext like magpies.

Edit: I might have a word by mistake in there.

Do you know what page of that thread you got the warning from? Sometimes those warnings come up because a spam account edits the link into their posts, but I don't see one on the last few pages of that thread.

First page, straight from the General Discussions subforum.

Checked pages two and three, got no warning.

There could also be a spambot post in the thread; I'm looking through it now.

Changed the image that was causing it into a URL. No actual risk from viewing the image.

Uh, chrome says there's malware on that website. I was trying to check it out and BAM, it says website is blocked because of malware... How did you get it fixed? Is it a false positive?

usually when that happens on a legit site like this one, its because someone linked a picture or a ad displayed from a not so safe server. its just the way the anti-mawlware thign in chrome works. it checks links on the page to a black list

I got a warning about the official Blizzard account page from Chrome once. Scared the hell out of me.

The link above is full of malware, according to Chrome. Same site as OP's. Won't let me enter it because of it.

I fixed it by removing the embedded image. I would avoid visiting it:
