T''was the Night Before Mogmas

l'm usually known as Whitewolf in most WoW circles. I had to add an "x" here, as someone already scooped me on that prime username real estate. (I didn't add "xxx" because we want to keep our posts here family-friendly.)

Some of you might recognize me from a little ditty I wrote years ago called "T'was the Night Before Glyphmas." Yes, its my claim to wow-fame that I'm the guy who coined the name "Glyphmas" for the one-time, perfect-storm patch event that all scribes look back on with reverence and nostalgia.

The reason I'm here now though....

Riding a Diet Dr. Pepper high during this week's maintenance, I had a liittle time on my paws so I jottted down the following sequel. With my admittedly derivative plagiarism inspired in part by a speech from a potential First Lady contender, I now present my most current beating of an expired equine.....


T'was the Night Before Mogmas

T'was the Night before Mogmas and all through the Realms,
The goblins arranged all their unique-skinned Helms.
The weapons were sorted from the small to the huge,
Their new worth brought smiles to each goblin Scrooge.

We've long had the choice to change how we dress,
But the method to do so was just such a mess.
While we now have the skill, to track our Appearance,
For months Goblins sniped the good gear...most on Clearance.)

They've been sorting their leggings, many for weeks,
The favoured were those that displayed ample ass cheeks.
They sorted their dresses, their shirts and their vests
Pondering which would best present breasts.

As we stand at the dawn of this new auction age,
Naked alts stand in town, displaying rib cage.
So many bank alts, most wearing no clothes,
To facilitate previewing new gear with strange glows.

Armed with their Mogit, TSM, Auctioneer,
Determined to find all the best in slutgear.
And though soon we will face the Return of the Legion
We'll first have to contend with exposed nether region.

We also contend with Major Glyphs' great demise,
As they now leave the game (heavy sighs, heavy sighs.)
Some misread patch notes, thinking ALL glyphs on the heap.
On the bright side I bought ~MANY~ Minors...~REAL~ cheap.

But a moment of silence for the end of a friend,
As the Age of the Garrison comes to an end.
We all bow our heads, our tears we withhold,
As we mourn the last days of this source for free gold.

But enough of the past, onward to glory
As Blizz turns the page on the next stage in the story.
For all of you making a Demon Hunter alt,
I have Teebu's Blazing Longsword buried back in my vault....
