    Hello,
I'm looking to upgrade my motherboard and cpu for 20man raiding in wod.
I'm planning to possibly do some streaming once the expansion hits.

    Here's my current specs:
    Motherboard: MSI H61M-P22 B3
    CPU: Intel Core i3-2120
    GPU: Radeon HD 7770
    Ram: 8GB DDR3
Hard drives: 320gb samsung & 1tb western digital
    Power supply: Antec EarthWatts 500w

I'm open for suggestions, and my budget is around 400 euros
Also, I plan to upgrade my psu sometime after christmas perhaps so I'm open for suggestions on that one aswell.

Your budget doesn't allow for a proper CPU upgrade.
What you could do is increase your budget and get a 4670K & a GTX 760 which have the awesome "shadowplay" feature that allows you to record gameplay for a very slight decrease in performance & much lower space being used when comparing to fraps.

Streaming to twitch will be added in the near future according to nVidia.

"In the future, we’ll be introducing a major new ShadowPlay feature: the ability to stream directly to Twitch.tv."

I dunno, I think upgrading from an i3-2120 @ 3.3ghz to an i3-4330 @ 3.5ghz would provide a pretty sizeable performance increase (20-25%) within that price range.

I also don't think upgrading the PSU is necessary at this time.

I'm currently planning to just upgrade my cpu and mobo, though I will probably also upgrade my gpu once I get money for that.

Only thing I'm kinda concerned about my current psu is it's age. It is currently around 5 years old and I'm afraid it will break on me when I don't have money for a new one.

Taking chazus advice into consideration i've come up with this build.

    i3-4330

He said he only wants to upgrade the cpu+motherboard right now.

If you mostly only play wow then the 7770 is fine for now. With that budget and your considering streaming you should be looking at the i5-4670K and a decent z87 motherboard to overclock with. If you are considering heavy streaming like, a lot, then I'm pretty sure you could even squeeze the i7-4770K. The hyperthreading give a big performance boost for streaming but the i5 if fine for a not super serious streamer. If you go with the i5 you would probably have budget room for a power supply too.

I am not sure what prices are like in Finland so I could be way off on this but with $500 in the US this is possible.

They get hosed pretty bad on prices in Europe . I built 1080 max machine (in WoW at least) with an I7 for 700 here. People in Europe pay WAY more.

I agree with the 7770. Turn shadows down and drop the money on an I5 z87 board 2x4, 8 gigs of CL9 1600 ram and a evo 212 cooler (or equivalent 120mm fan/copper base cheap cooler in Europe). Clock it to 4.2 (should be really easy on that cooler). Also you do NOT need a premium z87 board. Haswell is different. Stuff is on the chip (which makes the damn thing run hotter) that used to be MB territory. Get the cheapest z87 board you can find with decent reviews. Mine was 60 bucks with a combo pack and my haswell overclocks better then my friends on an Asus board that costs 4 times as much.

You will be able to max most of the other graphics settings besides shadows and WoW will fly and you will have all you need for the next expansion on the CPU end. Wait on the video card till all this mantle stuff settles. Nvidia has a new series coming out, the 760 will drop in price if you want to stay Nvidia. I saw an open box 760 Asus Direct CUII for 205 US at Microcenter the other day which is cheap as hell.

If WoW and MMO's are the things you play most? Video card isn't THAT important. CPU gets stressed more then anything. FPS games? GPU is very important. Id rather have super high FPS with shadows down then shadows all the way up at crappy fps.

CPU prices won't come much lower then right now I don't think. Broadwell will prob be as big a bust as Haswell on the overclocking scene. Video cards on the other hand? What costs 400 bucks today is 200 tomorrow.

He wanted to stream so a GTX 760 will enable him to do that & run the game at ultra which the 7770 will struggle doing. Also saves him the money on a better GPU instead of going for a i7.

Based on the suggestions I'm thinking of getting i5-4670K with CM Hyper 212 EVO and Asus Z87-K for motherboard. I will probably get a gtx 760 sometime after christmas as the shadowplay feature sounds great for streaming.

Also, I made a pcpartpicker list of what my build is going to be so if anyone could bother checking if it's ok I'd appreciate that.

Looks great, I would change the motherboard for the Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H since yours doesn't allow SLI.

I'm not sure will I need SLI support tbh. I plan to play mostly wow and maybe some old fps games (like cod4). Possibly Gta V if it ever releases for pc (But I don't need to be able to play that on highest possible settings, I'd be fine with just being able to play it)

Nevertheless, they cost about the same
