it would be kinda funny if blizzard made it so anduin went down a shadowy path and ended up fighting the black prince and because the black prince defeated him became some sort of aspect of light and he was the true champion of light instead that would be a great twist

Anduin was ruining MoP like Thrall was ruining Cataclysm, for the love of God don't give him any role in WoD aswell.

But on topic.... well he should just buy dual spec

You mean like Theon and his favorite toy?

As a horde player, Anduin is one of my favorite alliance characters.

What are you thinking, like an eye, his right arm and leg? Maybe a little necromancy to keep them going? Maybe the full Alphonse Elric treatment?

I was thinking more about flaying him alive, and making banner out of his skin, so he can lead army of light as inanimate moral boost for allies within 100 yard radius.

If thats not the case, remove all limbs, and eyes, and throw rest to big jar with life support. And thousand failsafe's, so we are sure he wont die.

What's with the Anduin hate? I don't get it.

Not everyone can be like Tirion you know.

Personally i don't like him because he spent a good part of his life in a guarded castle, yet runs around and teaches everyone a moral lesson, even beings that are actually far wiser than him.

Secondly, any character flaw seems to be missing somehow, aside from his 100% peace attitude.

So an illiterate rip-off of Anakin Skywalker becoming Darth Vader in Star Wars Revenge of the Sith?

I hope not. Another good guy gone bad story would be painful to endure.

You know I can totally see something happening along the lines off..

Evil: Your pathetic Smites wont do me any harm!!(evil scream)
Anduin: aaarch.. father.. I failed the light.
Evil: Feel my wrath!!(more evil stuff here)
Anduin: hmm tehn I should use THIS!
    Anduin: BLINK!(Shadow form)
Anduin: Here Anduin basically tells the player he must use it in times of need or something like that.

    yup.

I hope not. We have enough brooding emos in Warcraft.

    Not quite.

Shadow has always been around, to put it into modern examples:

Holy is the big flashy but ultimately good church. Think like the Catholic church in all their glory with gilded statues and icons and all that but also doing all their good works. Cardinals feeding the poor and such. Rather Mother Theresa like.

Discipline I'd consider more monastic. Like Jesuits, humble in power, no need to be big and flashy. They do good works for their own reward and follow a simple path.

Shadow is like the mega churches of the late 80's and early 90's. Thing like Tammy Faye Baker and others where they are doing what they consider right but while they think they are doing good they are doing so in such a way that it benefits them.

    Or in other words:

Holy is the grace of a church as a whole. Channeling the spirit of the faith as a faith, a total religion.

Discipline is the grace of a true believer. They channel the spirit of themselves centered in their faith.

Shadow is the iron will of someone who is completely unable to believe that they are wrong and are willing to do whatever it takes to bring everyone to that same belief.

Now what the Forsaken believe in/follow is the church of the fallen shadow (I think that's what it's called). Where The Shadow is essentially synonymous with The Light. So if they could customize it they'd actually have all Forsaken Priest visuals that do something in whites and golds to do it in purples, blacks and blues but the game engine doesn't really work that way.

It's not what they believe in that gives a priest their path in WoW, but rather what they believe in gives them the power to complete their various spells/prayers/heals. So a human shadow priest still follows the light, it's just that they are doing so in a way that's frankly a bit abusive and usury. A Forsaken holy priest still follows the Forgotten Shadow just they do so in such a way that they are expressing the faith of their people to complete acts of miraculous healing.

I really like this idea. I mean rather given that Anduin will someone free Garrosh, but the follow up could have a lot of neat in it.

So ok, Garry escapes and runs off through the portal. Alternate timeline set up, everyone on Azeroth goes "Ya know, let's just say Garry is their problem now. Screw those guys." So they pop the portal back to green and call it a day, just let Garrosh do whatever he likes in alternative limbo.

Now let's say Garry kidnaps and takes Anduin with him.

Now we've got a story. Both Alliance and Horde going through the portal to stop a war creating incident, finding out it's now an alternate timeline and Anduin is still kidnapped but all grown up. First raid is centered around getting into Shat and saving Anduin who thanks to Bolvar's teachings has created a strong aesthetic core while imprisoned and first patch that comes out he's a rather kickass paladin.

Thrall's beating heart can be his life support. Also, someone has some interesting fetishes.

People are saying Anduin is whiny... when does he whine? When people are about to be killed and he tries to stop it? I don't... huh?
    It's pronounced "Dur-av-ian."

We already know his fate - a half dozen of badly written adventures thwarting the plans of baddies, a questline in which he proves utter superiority compared to Tyrande/Jaina/any other failed cheerleader, and here we go, he's a paladin leading the Army of Light.
