Yeah. Remembering 5280 feet in a mile, 12 inches in a foot, 3 feet in a yard is so much easier than simply remembering everything is a factor of 10 (metric.)

The tons of suffixes and prefixes are so much easier to remember because its all multiples of 10. 1 kilometer is 1000 meters is 100,000 centimeters. Easy to remember. Just add the appropriate number of zeros.
