No, the monitors will have separate resolutions. I've used a cheap box shaped screen for years next my widescreens and have to actually come to prefer it.

Also the monitor I linked comes with just an RGA cable, so you will either have to get an adapter, use an HDMI cable or get a DVI cable.

I'd imagine its the same. IPS is nice, and it looks like a good price, I think its the same as mine but 1 inch bigger.

So using the blue port will have reduced quality? How noticeable is it?

The monitor you linked only comes with a VGA cable, that isn't much use with your your graphics card and you would need to buy a DVI cable on it's own. (DVI is a better standard than VGA anyway)

I'll link two other options in that price range that I think would work well, but I recommend before you buy anything, copy and paste the model numbers into Google or YouTube and look at a few reviews for each of them so you can judge them for yourself and then decide.

I don't really know what's good to look for in a monitor, as long as it displays the picture and has a nice quality i don't think I need much more lol, and I don't mind buying a cable separate, which monitor would you recommend?

I was just really offering more options, I am a bit reluctant to give a solid recommendation on monitors that I don't use myself as monitors tend to be a very personal preference kind of thing. But based on what I've seen in a few videos I looked up, if you just want best picture quality, my best guess is the LG 24" as it is an IPS panel. It will probably look even better than your current monitor.
