AF2, Myth gear, AF HQ, AF+1.. Please, help us!

I've made a similar thread on the official forums, no concrete answer yet..

So does anyone know what the 'official' name of gear purchased buy tomes of mythology is? I know it's not AF2 since that has to come out still (Im not talking about the accessories).

Would be nice if someone knows or has the Japanese translation for it.

Just call it Mythology Gear which is basically what everyone does anyway, since Myth tomes will always purchase this gear. When a new set of gear comes out they will be purchased with a new set of tomes/currency, the devs hinted at this in one of the interviews.

Call them Myth gear if you must, but not AF2 as SE already shown us concept art for AF2 and they will be in patch 2.2

So either AF+1 or just Myth gear, but definitely not AF2

People that call them AF2 obviously didn't keep up to date with their info, so I wouldn't take what they say seriously anyway, ignore those people.

The BRD AF 2 is read, doesn't have a chapeau, and a lot less gay.

There are the MNK and SMN shown too, and they look VERY different to Myth gear, want a picture to compare?

The SMN is very..."revealing", theme similar to current BRD just less clothing, and the MNK is also in red, I am unsure but a friend said it is the MNK set from an older FF game.

EDIT: the only one that looks kind of similar is the DRG one.

I don't understand why people complain about BRD gear being "gay". Androgynous, flamboyant clothing is to be expected for any SE game since Nomura came around. besides, I happen to like the bright colors and assymetrical design, which is miles better than most dreary armor sets of brown, black, or grey.

Relic armor does not yet exist for the game. AF = artifact, and that was, for both 11 and 14, the first set of job-specific gear, an "artifact" of the original form of the job itself. Mythology-purchased gear is an upgraded form of the artifact gear, therefore it is AF+1.
