Shadow till I die
#Shadow4Life
The big plus about being a Shadow Priest is that you can also play around with two different healing specs.
But yeah, Shadow has the most amazing form (with Glyph on) and the Shadow Orbs are a delight to watch, also working with Shadow Word: Death, Mind Flay, Shadow Word: Pain, Mind Blast, it's all very fun! Like playing in the casino!
It's not like.. *ahh rotation, I know this, repeat repeat* it's kinda up, oh smack! YES! free Shadow Blast, oh yeah played wise, got some Shadow Orbs, wanna use that Devoring Plague thing bit earlier, Mind Blast with talent makes blue nice colorfully spell effect also lovely much nice + mount different form makes some mounts more lolvley even!
I don't know yet. I'll wait to see what they do with the spec between now and WoD launch. Way back when I started off mid-BC with a frost mage mostly because that was what appealed to me. I put her up on the shelf during Wrath because I've never much done PVP and at that point that was the only reason to play a frost mage then. And there she sits to this day although they've been raid viable for a while now. Anyway, ancient history aside, that's when I rolled a priest and have stayed shadow ever since.
I'm a little bored with it and have basically finished with MoP in terms of doing what I want to do so decided to spend the rest of the expansion starting a brand new frost mage, learning the spec from the ground up, and seeing how it goes. So far, it's going fine although I'm not that far along. I'll have her to end game long before WoD launches though and then we'll see.
I'm open to the idea of doing something different. So, maybe.
"...money's most powerful ability is to allow bad people to continue doing bad things at the expense of those who don't have it."
That's what I'm doing at the moment, wasn't that the right way to do it if you could only cast your filler MF otherwise? Do you have a problem with Blizzard intending us to do stuff like that or would you call somebody doing that right now a bad player? Perhaps I'm under the false impression that doing MindSear on 2 targets is better than MindFlay on one.
I'm interested in seeing what Blizzard has in store for Shadow Priests. There's a reason why I'm still playing the class and there's a reason why we all came to play it in the first place. I'm thinking of getting a Lock as my instant 90 char, but a lot has to happen to make me switch mains. As long as we get something cool, perhaps some QoL improvements and the ability to be somewhat competitive, I'm satisfied.
MF per Tick: 1049 + 50% SP
MS per Tick: 303 + 30% SP
MS on 2 per Tick: 606 + 60% SP
Since base damage is neglectable it's mostly the 60% SP > 50% SP that makes me MS once I have at least two targets. Still, one has to take the increased mana cost and the missing slow ( if MF isn't glyphed anyway for increased movement speed ) into consideration.
why? i play warlock master class, no point in downgrading ;>
I will definitely level my shadow and play her to some extent, not sure if she'll still be my main though. Sort of feeling like I miss tanking lately.
Playing shadow since tbc, rerolling to warlock bcuz they said they're happy with shadow dps.
So many negative inputs. Is it for real? I for one find this the perfect opportunity to get back to my Priest after a long break.
prob i will still play shadow...i dont think can be worst than now....however i play 2 classes priest and mage if shadow is desaster i will swich to mage...i hate warlocks and dont like melees or ele shamans etc
Dots aren't going anywhere if you are reffering to the dotless rotation.. just dont pick the talent if you will
OT: Yes I will still be playing this spec.. I don't care for the healing specs i played Shadow since vanilla never touched the healing spec for serious stuff since I like dps.
If it's get worse .. which sucks cus you see stuff like that happening when it's to late.. 6.2 incoming.
My dk alt is fully decked out in pvp aswell so (since wrath) so that will be my second choice.

Yes.
Honestly, shadowform and playstyle is what me draw first to Shadow as my main - for 3 years now and I'm not tired of it. Glyph of Shadow Ravens felt so epic when it first got implemented - always liked that Raven Priest Look. And what is your opinion about the Shadow Priest overall, what do you like about it?
Hard to say what I want without sounding absurd - I hope we won't get punched with undeserved nerfs and will stay comparable as dps. I'm happy to decide which talents I choose for which bosses, depending on what performs best (That wasn't really possible with the old system in pve) or serves my raid best as support without loosing (too) much dps. What do you want for it? What are you happy with?
Blizzard gonna fuck with us in WoD just wait..
1st patch everyone is going to be playing something else because of MOP Shadow roller coaster. Blizzard realizes there is a problem and buffs Spriest again. A bunch of people return to their beloved Spriest because it isn't a bag of dicks anymore. People complain about Spriest, we get nerfed and are right back to square one.
I'm onto you Blizzard
Hi Sephurik
I used to avoid feeling this way (playing spriest 6 years)..didn't want to be "that guy". But, as this pattern repeated year after year, I have come to the conclusion that:
A) The Spriest team at Blizzard don't actually play the class
B) There ISN'T a Spriest team at Blizzard
C) The Spreist team at Blizzard play the class and care but are wimps and give in to higher authority/other class leaders.
I mean, even moderate raiders get screwed as so many guilds min-max. ( I know, I have heard the whole "If you aren't in the top 100 guilds in the world not bringing a shadow priest cause of dps is foolish") Screw that. GM's and raid leaders who have to deal with 9-24 other raiders griping when a they hit the wall aren't going to risk having an spriest in the raid when an extra Warlock/Mage/Rogue/Hunter are sitting in the wings with equal gear.
If Blizzard realized they are screwing players like me who have 5 or more years into a class out of raid spots or gear drops (why give the spriest the trinket/tier/etc over the other caster) maybe they would balance classes better.
OK...vented enough....:-P
Oh....no, I have had enough. I've got a Warlock in the wings and a pally for tanking....
