    And yet, they are weapons. I did mean the fist weapon Pride, as you linked, when I wrote my post, as well as an epic off-hand dagger. I don't know why you brought up the Tournament weapons, as they have nothing to do with the point being discussed: Weapons being available from the Justice/Valor/equivalent-emblems-at-the-time vendor. They were and are still weapons, thus there have been 5 of the first 13 tiers with weapons available (and I am intentionally excluding the blue ones), not just 1 tier...

    20 or so dark shaman kills for my guild and they dropped just one caster trinket so far. This is a joke, especially for heroic raiding guilds.
    Most people do not realize the talent and skill it requires to be in a top guild. Many of you think its only about time invested, but that couldn't be further from the truth.

    Somewhat related to this, I did find it interesting how Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn handles this. I think this was a deliberate move after researching WoW. What happens is this:
    Ironically, even though, like in WoW, your weapon is your most important piece of equipment, getting your best weapon is (was before Patch 2.1, to be accurate) the easiest piece of equipment to get. There is a questline somewhat similar to the one in MoP ending with a legendary cloak, but compared to that it's much shorter although it does involve beating bosses that would make WoW LFR "raiders" cry, the last of which would be virtually impossible for the usual LFR community.

    Of course, getting all the other equipment slots filled with the items you want is as random as any other MMORPG, albeit with much higher chances since loot lists are exactly half, or nearly half, WoW's.

    While I think just practically giving you your best weapon outright goes too far, I WOULD like to see some questline in WoW made available to reward you with a good, solid weapon so that you're not just left behind SO much for reasons outside of your control and because of just one item, like the poor OP. I think it would be fitting to have this questline after you defeat Normal Garrosh, and have it reward a weapon of equal power from Normal Siege of Orgrimmar. Maybe it would be good to have even a second questline after you defeat Heroic Sha of Pride to upgrade it to Warforged just in case your luck continues to be THAT screwy and it's clear that you want to progress through Heroic raids.

    In fact, didn't they do something pretty similar to this with rings in TBC and Wrath? If you want to boil it down, they were pretty much just reputation grinds, sure, but they served a good gameplay purpose in my opinion.

    RNG screwed me at the start of Wotlk... Managed to get weapons from 10 man naxx, but absolutely nothing when I did 25 naxx... I also went 3/4 through the ulduar patch before I even got a new upgrade from 10 man hard modes. RNG is a bitch, a cold hearted ruthless bitch.

    Most likely the wisest Enhancement Shaman.

    agree with this. i still havent seen Gaze of Arrogance from normal Soo and this is after 14 resets, did pickup a norm wand for myself though off spoils but in truth weps are incredibly rare. most of the time in heroic soo we see so many shitty capes drop. its depressing. like why blizz, would u include heroic capes when everyone doing heroics has legendary capes already?

    It's not weapons in our guild, it's trinkets. Fucking trinkets won't drop. The Amp trinket for healers on Sha hasn't dropped a single time in our main run and that's after clearing the shit on Heroic for months. The Agi trinket from Sha has dropped once or twice and the sad thing is, that even though people are coining for these trinkets week after week, they still don't get them. Siegecrafter won't drop the healing trinket either btw, it's rather retarded with RNG.

    Normal:

    galakras 1 time + coin
    malkorok 1 time + coin

    flex:
    fallen protector 1 time + coin
    galakras 1 time + coin

    I allways try to coin weapon.

    It took me until patch 5.4 before i got a weapon and it was the one of durumu.

    72 tries and got 1 weapon. i had the exalted klaxxi weapon until then.

    You should clearly understand, that RNG - is psychological trick, widely used by game developers (and casinos) to make you do same thing again and again (i.e. grind or lose your money). It's accomplished via using players' passion: if Blizzard would just say, that you'd get this item after 100%/6% = 16-17 tries (average number of tries, needed to get item with N droprate is 1/N or 100%/N%, if N is in %), some players might say "ok, but I'll unsub after it" and some might say "too long, I won't do it", but if Blizzard would say, that you might get this item at any try with 6% droprate, any try, starting from first, if you're lucky, to infinite, if not - you'd start expecting this item to drop at every try, you'd start thinking, that with every try your chance to get it is increasing a little bit, you wouldn't want to miss some try, cuz you would think, that item might drop exactly on this try and you'd miss it. Yeah, and at the moment, when you'd realize, that you've spent the same 16-17 tries or even more, it would be too late. And developers would just decline any responsibility - RNG is RNG. And due to fact, that you need ~16 items, not just one, means, that there will be always at least one or two items, you will be unlucky with and spend much more tries to get them, then you should at average.

    I just wish they could add option to give up 3 coins for one item you want. Even if you have 10 coins, it should be restrict limit one "give up 3 coins" for an item you want per week. I'm getting little tired farming for ranged weapon for my hunter coining 8 weeks with 25 man 10/14 hm.

    No, it's P2P game - you should waste your time and kill this boss two extra times to use 2 extra coins on it. That's why I think, that P2P paying model is unfair: in both P2P and F2P you're paying for time, but the major difference is - P2P game wastes your time anyway and in F2P game you're paying to save your time. Why unfair? Cuz time is money too. In F2P game you're exchanging your money on your time and in P2P you're paying twice - by your time and by your money. Yeah. Penny-wise and pound-foolish - avaricious one pays twice.

    They def need to add more weapons in for all classes, my holy Paladin is geared out with the exception of an LFR SoO weapon. 3 soo bosses can drop a weapon, mace from shamans, sword from nazgrim which is also a caster weapon, and maces from Garrosh if your lucky enough to kill him.

    The weapon parity is terrible. I don't mind that they are rare but out of 14 bosses , 3 drop weapons for a Holy Paladin. It should be at least 5 bosses that give you a chance at weapons.

    Weapons have always been most demanded pieces of gear, cuz they're best incentive to continue raiding and therefore paying your sub.

    Pretty much same here. All other slots full hc with some wf but weapon is normal garrosh weapon -.-. Even in 25man the stupid weapons are so ellusive and never drop. It's always that one slot you will never get be it weapon or trinket, you will run it for some half a year before you get it and then next expansion comes.
