    new shadow ability idea

    Sin and Punishment

    1 second cast time
    1 Minute Cooldown

    Places the target under the priest's watchful eye, lasting for 20 seconds. Sin and Punishment has 5 charges. When the afflicted target uses an ability Sin and Punishment loses a charge and deals X damage instantly and X damage over 6 seconds to the afflicted target. With each additional action the afflicted target takes, the damage over time effect is refreshed. When all fives charges are depleted, Sin and Punishment is dispelled.


    Accompanying Glyph

    Decreases the damage over time effect of Sin and Punishment, but increases it's total charges by 1.



    Perks:

    Another dot like ability that is unique to Shadow spec.

    Semi-protection against being dispelled since dispelling from yourself still counts as an action.

    A great spell to use against healers.

    Forces people to make the decision of waiting until the debuff wears off, or continue to cast through the dot.

    This feels like something we should have got some time ago.. sounds amazing to me!

    It sounds like something that doesn't encourage smart play... so it'd need to be dispellable, probably a Curse maybe.

    When some one dispells it should have some sort of impact.. if it's damage.. or even a silence. Or else everyone will just dispell it and no ones cares about it being some from of threat really..

    Proc cd or some other mechanic in mind for it not to lose all charges vs. say Thok for instance - casting something every other second?
