Ah ok, Never played it but that sounds like a good idea as well. I just thought you could make the d-pad switch between different key layouts as well, So the number of abilities and buttons isn't really an issue.

Yeah however it was also designed with controllers as well as PC in mind.

A more complete description is that you use say the d pad to swap between targets(also customizable so healers can say just go between allies) and then right control stick to move left for camera with say on a 360 right trigger being used to light half the skills left the other half per bar set. Then you have the d pad and the regular buttons assigned to the skills.

Then tapping the right bumper or holding it(depending on your choice) can let you swap between the hotbars. Again you can customize which ones and so on..

sooo yeah it works preeeety well LOL.

oh plus just pressing down on left stick lets you turn and run bacowards better then keyboard LOL...Again changeable.

The game engine is outdated to even run on consoles. It relies too much on the GPU and less on CPU

Actually it is just the opposite.
WoW is very CPU driven, poorly utilising that even.
It benefits most from a faster CPU with less cores, rather than a slower one with more.
Look at the utilisation, and see it is mostly driven by a single core.

The upside to consoles is consistent performance, and predictable hardware.
Non-techie friendly in both requirements and usability.

The interface for wow is really just too mouse and keyboard orientated, so really suggesting those peripherals for a console version is not adding anything to the argument.
You should be arguing for what makes a console different from a PC, not trying to turn it into one.

I'm a big console guy. Play pretty much everything on my 360 and now my xbox one but MMOs should stay on PC... they just don't work on console.

Would be neat and could be done fairly easily anyone telling you otherwise knows very little about capabilities of say the PS4 controller and other methods to get the game to have great controls on a controller

I highly doubt I could use all 40+ abilities on a controller efficiently.

i don't think wow on a console would work that well. I don't care too much for the folks that console would bring. but i'm a bit biased.

    NOOOOOOOOO..

Consoles are for kids games and watching DVDs/BluRays..
PCs are for playing real games and watching porn..
    Fact (because I say so): TBC > Cata > Legion > ShaLa > MoP > DF > BfA > WoD = WotLK

No. Hook a PS4 controller to your damn PC , start up WoW , try to play with it for 2min and you'll get sick off it. Guaranteed.

Don't know why people say there are to many abilities, you use them all fine with a mouse and keyboard. PS3/PS4 both support mouse and keyboard.

Anyways... How about no. I think that's probably the best answer to the topic.

    I agree with this!

I suppose a single player version of WoW might work if they incorporate the "Freeze time, choose an ability, choose a target, unfreeze time" mechanic like they do in SWKTOR and Dragon Age Origins, but that's about the extent of it.
    You just lost The Game
