When I was a kid (around 4 or 5 years old), this terrified me.
No, seriously.
Also, The Thing (1982) is the first horror movie I remember watching (aroung 11/12 years old) that really terrified me, at the time.
This. Be warned, be very, very warned, because this is so gross and disgusting. The scene is from the movie The Fly 2.

Anyone who didn't say Pennywise from It is wrong.
The Groke from the moomintrolls scared me plenty. You freeze solid and die if you touch her, and she constantly seeks warmth and company.

Even though he's not an actual monster, I was terrified of Freddy Kruger for the longest time.
The Red Bull from The Last Unicorn used scare me quite badly. Like, hiding behind the couch and having nightmares about it that night. Not quite sure why but it really was quite terrifying to me as a child. As an adult though, and it's already been said before; Weeping Angels. I haven't been affected by any creature/baddie in a very long time, but Flesh and Stone + Time of Angels seriously had me going for a while.
Most terrifying? Red Bull.
Thing that really gets under my skin and is kinda freaky? Angels.
Sleep is overrated anyway!
I think ANYTHING Hellraiser would suffice. :PJust as a bonus, though it never particularly scared me, what's a horror creature thread without The Engineer from Hellraiser?
Oh then you would HATE playing "Enemy Zero" for the Sega Saturn. Its about a chick who's stuck on a spaceship and its
crew are all under attack by animalistic aliens that are invisible. But don't worry! You can hear them!....just not see them. D:
I know, I just had to pick that picture. Seriously, Onryo are so goddamn terrifying.
Ah...yeah...very VERY gross indeed. Personally, when it comes to disgusting gore, I always picked Carnosaur (I think 2?) when the Raptor
ripped through the elevator and attacks/kills the woman he grabbed. It's so...excessive.
By far and wide one of the most disturbing thing ever for children's programming. Only other thing I can think of that tops it is
Watership Down or Suicide Dogs.
That would be the character of Kayako Saeki from the popular The Grudge or Ju-on series. The one pic imparticular
was from The Grudge 2.
I believe a good "pushing into the sea" would be what that thing does best. If you're a unicorn anyway.

The Douen from Haven:
And the creatures from The Descent.
