I mean destruction warlocks.
I mean destruction warlocks.
You kill or you die. Or you die and you kill.
Do you guys even play PvP? Unholy, no joke.
It would also depend on how many targets are availiable. Warriors and Dks have crazy AoE damage with Warrios spreading deep wounds or Dks spreading diseases to an entire bg team. Most casters can shit on 2-3 ppl consecutively if left alone while bursting. on one person I'd say rets, enhance/ele shammies, destro locks and frost mages take the cake.
Anyways any Elemental with Elemental Mastery and Unleashed Fury will instagib you if left to freecast.
My favorite burst list:
Fury Warrior (The spec is overall shit for pvp tho, but dem Raging Blow crits.)

Speaking strictly from a subjective healer (and target caller) perspective, there are a few classes that I simply won't allow my DPS to leave alone: Enhance/Ele, Frost/Fire Mage (mainly frost, but mage CC is annoying regardless of spec), and Unholy; in that order.
It's difficult to speak in terms of highest damage "when left alone," because (at least in my case, and in 3v3) I can't think of a reason why we would just let someone cast/sit on me without a peel, LOS, or CD of some sort. If that happens, we have made some serious positioning errors (ie. sitting in a bladestorm is probably a bad idea...). The perceived threat of a class can also be subject to the healer. I have much less of an issue with locks and DKs on my druid than on my priest. Regardless, I'm MUCH more worried about CC than damage, and with two other teammates, I assume my team is capable of CCing two opposing players.
Nevertheless, if I were to stand still and not do a single thing while a DPS was bursting on me, I would say (in no specific order) Enhance/Ele, any hunter that can spam AS during rapid fire, Magi (fire especially with awesome RNG), Combat rogues, Arms, and Ret paladins would have the most "WTF just happened!?" burst. Unholy does incredible damage, but I've never had one burst me down before I could attempt to react; not to say they aren't capable of it, but I have yet to see it first hand.
A better question to ask, or at least one that will yield more constructive answers, is "What class has the most reliable, on-demand burst coupled with effective CC?" This is what makes hunters, druids, magi, etc. so powerful this expansion.
Enhance damage during Ascendance is among the highest in the game, but outside of that they don't put out nearly as much pressure as real high damage classes (war, uh dk, mage, lock).
Cool! Thanks for everyones input. Was just something I was pondering on for the sake of pondering while waiting for servers to come back up.
I play Aff/Demo in pvp and Spriest main, so on my lock I feel like I do tons of damage, but its nothing to worry about over the time span of an arena or bg other than attrition toward the enemy healers. I just feel like most teams just laugh while I haunt/fear/reDoT/MG spam. But on my spriest, running FDCL and DI build, I just stay alive long enough to get 3 orbs, a MB proc and 2 Mind Spike procs and its GG for whoever I'm targeting. Feels more like a support (which I LOVE) and a kill on demand class (rng gods) which is what attracts me to the class/spec more than anything.
My buddy has a Frost Mage and Ele shaman that he says play kind of similar, that he said if he is left to stand and turret someone, he just loloneshots people. Thinking about leveling one of those to try it out when I get bored with end game stuff.
Thanks again for all the input guys!
If rng is on my side, I can literally global someone from 60-70% as ele OUTSIDE of my cooldowns. It happens maybe 1 out of every 50 arena matches, but when it does I can just imagine the other team raging.
You can use Raid Finder to join a 25-player raid for some of the most epic experiences World of Warcraft has to offer.
Well, if you let SP stack 3 orbs and cast DP ... Can't imagine anything higher right now.
Destro lock burst is pretty sick. If they can set it up and arnt eaten by all the warriors. xD
in what situation?
RBG's? 2s 3s 5s?
in how long of a time frame?
there's very high burst classes and AIDs classes
5s or RBGs, aids classes should win
