The RAM is on offer until next week, And I'd consider shanging the Caviar Black for a Blue which knocks another 30 bucks off. If you have a Microcenter with 20 minutes drive, I'd go there and get one of their in-store motherboard offers which saves you around $50.

    Thanks in advance.
The case has USB 2.0 ports, not 3.0. So the ports will work slower than they actually could.
And another note, the 212 EVO is hard to install, if you never handled PC parts before it might be quite dangerous as you could damage the MB in the process.
    http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-...er-rr910htx3g1 is easier to install.

Seems like a very solid build, and should meet your criteria for quite some time.

You could save a couple bucks by exchanging the MoBo to an AsRock Z87 Pro 4.

On your OC Note: The OC Tweaker of this MoBo is very easy to handle, especially with that particular CPU. And with that cooler you should be able to OC to at least 4.0 GHz Turbo Clock without any problems.

Thanks for the suggestion, I got a good price on some of the parts earlier this week and already picked it up. I've updated what I'm planning on getting, which will be within the next week. Any final suggestions or tweaks?

My main concern is the case and motherboard. Would you guys suggest the motherboard I chose or this one?

    Thanks for the help guys.

FWIW, both motherboards, (the ASUS A and the ASRock Extreme4) are about equal - the A has better fan control, but the X4 has seemingly better audio and LAN. Tough choice.

Thanks man, that puts me at ease a bit.

Will that case suit all my needs or do I have better options? For around the same price point, of course.
