I especially enjoyed FFXIII-2's DLC which contained the true ending. Yep, paying to see the ending of the game you already bought.

To be fair, like already said, it's the way DLC is done that matters, which so far I believe Nintendo has done a great job with.

Cost versus quality. I have bought a bunch of the packs for Fire Emblem. 4 bucks for some maps and characters is pretty decent and some of those maps are really challenging. And when they give us free content in the form of rare items and access to new character s from old games, I can justify giving them some money to keep supporting the game.
