BF4 and Batman: AO keep crashing.

So had my new rig now for a few days, but haven't actually been able to enjoy BF4/Batman:AO due to crashing within minutes of playing. I've updated drivers, updated directx, punkbuster (heard this was suppose to fix BF4) and reinstalled but alas they still keep crashing. I am aware that BF4 has its issues and can still crash for people but surely not within minutes of playing campaign and multiplayer.

I play both games at 1080p on ultra where I average around 110 FPS on BF4 on a 48man CQC server. Haven't checked for Batman yet (that game now crashes as soon as I load it up from steam). I can play Assassin's Creed fine but I have noticed some texture's not rendering instantly so characters appear silver pixelated.

From what I've noticed on MSI Afterburner, my GPU sits around 65C on BF4 but the power is sometimes at 80-90%, and my CPU sits at 60C, max is 68C, according to Core Temp.

Not sure if it could be a problem with my hardware or something software related. Hoping that someone here has/had same problem and how to rectify it.

    CPU: i7-4770k Haswell @ 4.4 Ghz
    CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i
    Motherboard: Asus Z87-K
    RAM: 2x 4gb Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz
GPU: EVGA GTX 780 SC ACX
    PSU: Corsair 750W RM
    Case: Carbide 300R
    SSD: 120gb Samsung 840 EVO
    HDD: 1TB Seagate
    OS: Windows 8.1

    Thanks in advance.

Dumb question but does it matter where I update my GPU drivers from, Nvidia main site or EVGA? Updated them from EVGA.

My kids computer had a issue with Batman I used to use a command in steam to have it load in DX9 mode.

Ye I tried the graphic still nothing, but the sound thing rings a bell, cod4 used to do it all the time if you never had a mic plugged in. Hmm, change sound ingame or just set a default sound device?

Go into event viewer via administration tools in the control panel, run the game until it crashes and paste us the error from the log.

i heard in reviews that the reason batman got some lower score was because it kept crashing at random times and you had too replay long sections

    so it's not just you

    1. Make sure your driver is 332.21.
    2. Set GPU & CPU at stock settings.
    8700K (5GHz) - Z370 M5 - Mugen 5 - 16GB Tridentz 3200MHz - GTX 1070Ti Strix - NZXT S340E - Dell 24' 1440p (165Hz)

I wonder if you have a large enough power supply. I believe the 780 series are pretty power hungry (600w min according to product page), then you also have a pretty nice OC on your CPU. That's all going to add up on the PSU, and you've only got a 750w one...

I know that when you're working on OC'ing a GPU (not saying you are) artifiacts (that may include texture issues) can appear you have too little/much voltage.

His power supply is MORE than enough for even strong overclocking

do you have a 120hz monitor? if not enable vsync so that it forces your GPU to 60fps (60hz monitors cant display more than 60fps so the extra 50fps is just taxing your system for no gain)

sounds like overclocking too high somewhere since you only run 1 gpu (have seen similar with games not being happy with SLI but that isnt the case here)

also dx9 mode for batman (not sure if its fixed but I got 1/2 fps and tons of compatibility issues with dx 11 instead of 9)

I've seen a few issues in the last few generations of nvidia cards causing display crashes to what seems like undervolting during use of DX11 - if this is the same issue you can try downloading a program such as MSi Afterburner and upping the core voltage slightly.

For reference my 580's core voltage is currently set to 1088.

Because what every FPS player needs is more input lag.

Besides, taxing is bit of an odd term to use, that's what the system is made for.

Just going to update this. Basically I tried everything you guys said, but after skyrim was crashing constantly, I read on overclockerz, the gtx 780 club thread and on there someone said to disable MSI Afterburner when playing. I did and it's been fine ever since. Any reason behind this?
