Aren't store mounts usually in the game for a while before they make it to the store? Could this be the expansion mount you get for the Digital Deluxe Edition and CE?

Blizzard's milking it's customers as much as possible.

All of these mounts could be used for in game achievements but instead they'd prefer to use their cool new looks to milk us for more money.

would not surprise me.
with the new in game store, its a pretty safe bet that mounts will feature heavily on it and be released at quite some rate, And why wouldn't they, The cost of developing amount using existing bones, is probably $1500 - $2000 at the most, or whatever the amount they pay a 3d Artist for a couple of days work.

Its then uploaded into the game files, and placed on the store at $25 a time. they would only need to sell a hundred or so to break even. Everything else after that is pure profit. It makes perfect business sense to roll out mounts at a regular interval, I would guess once a month from now on.
