How would you react if Blizzard removed addon support?

No more DBM, no more custom interface, no more recount or SKADA.

    Nothing.

Only thing replaced being the ability to customize your interface a bit but still within the confines of WoW's default.

    Would you continue to play?

    Could you continue to play?

That'd be a lot of re-learning for me, for sure. I have my bars and my UI set up a very specific way. I don't rely too much on addons, though, so no big deal aside from DBM.

I could certainly do it, and assuming my guild didn't quit, I'd continue playing.

i would still play. i dont use many addons. i would miss postal and shadow unit frames the most

I don't use any addons so it wouldn't bother me.

It would have a severe impact on my ability to achieve better play with most DPS classes and with my severe nearsightedness (rabblerabblewearyourglassesrabblesnort) I have my HP and resources down in the middle of the screen to help me keep track of them. Though, I do believe that there is native support for moving all the frames down there, anyway. Weak Auras is my anti-contacts.
Praise the Quest Writers for they give life to otherwise boring expansions.

Don't know why this is being asked, but anyways:

It would have very little effect on me personally as I use very few addons.

So much balancing would have to be reworked though with no addons. From class rotations (especially healers) to boss encounters designed DBM so much would have to be redone.

Not to mention this would greatly widen the skill gap.

    Welcome to SWTOR =\

Apparently what healers who don't use addons do is use macros instead. You can get mouseover functionality with the standard frames. You just need a ton, and for certain classes that are Paladins, as many as 25-30 keybinds.

If blizzard removed addons I think there would be a massive revolt and a lot of pissed off WOW gamers.

    It would be epic.

I play with original UI so would work fine for me. Raiding without anyone having DBM would be quite a challenge tho
The skill level required of doing stuff would increase like crazy, would be cool to see

I would probably have to seriously think about it. I have used addons since the first day i played.
I frankly really dislike the default UI WoW has. Every so often i forget to check "load out of date addons" and see it again and go "ugh"
I was going to quit wow before i found addons to customize it ;P

I think that Blizzard does a very good job of handling add-on programs. They have the bar set where it should be. The only mistake they have made is to outright ban add-on programs from Diablo II.
I used to be hardcore, then I discovered how fun it is to get laid on an almost daily basis. I'll take sex over WoW any day, so now I'm casual.

I'm pretty sure if they removed DBM, they'd have to dumb down encounters for all but the most elite of guilds.

My gameplay would likely suffer a bit, as I use a few add-ons for things like trinket cooldowns, etc., but overall I would get over it fairly quickly.

    everyone would go play Wildstar.

That would be pretty brutal. Swtor has a much different pace than WoW.

That would be a pretty retarded move on their part. Addons are huge reason why people like WoW over other mmos.

depending on just how limited the UI customisation would be, I'd probably quit. but it's never going to happen
I don't care, I'm still free. You can't take the sky from me

The default UI is imo severely lacking in many areas, and so being forced to use that would really cripple many players.
It was a brave move opening it up to the degree of customisation we get.
Those who don't allow such options produce a UI that they assume fits all, when in reality I don't think any UI will ever do that.

I play with the default UI so no worries there. I would miss bagnon tho.
