Heroic Thok - Resto Druid Sybmiosis on Paladin

I was using symbiosis on our Holy Paladin for the extra poison dispel towards Corrosive Blood. The Cleanse I gained wasn't working on it though. It would burn a GCD, stay off CD, and the debuff would stay on the target. I made sure it wasn't a targeting issue with my mouse-over macro, clicking on the dispel target and then casting Cleanse.

Is this an intended effect, or a known bug? Is there a work-around?

The debuff is classed as magic not poison so I don't think the paladin dispel would work.

Ah, thank you. This is what I assumed, but all the UI's in our raid were displaying it as a poison.
